Went to Mustang Sally's today with my fiance and my family, and received uncooked chicken wings. I'm not one to send food back or make complaints, but when i say uncooked, i dont mean undercooked, this meat was raw. Bloody. My mother described it as wet, chewy and sticky when my fiance asked about her wings (they both ordered wings, all the meat was not pink but red). We understand these things happen, so we mentioned it to our waiter to see what they would offer to do for us. He said it would take about 5 minutes to get new ones (though he later stated it takes at least 10), and when i clarified that we dont expect to pay for them, which seems obvious to me, the waiter literally laughed and said he'd get the manager. When the manager finally arrived he again offered to replace them OR take it off the order. We clarified that he should be replacing it AND taking it off the order, to make up for the fact that we had been served and had in fact eaten raw chicken. He expressed clear understanding of this and left, saying he would return with new wings in about 5 minutes. We got our bill with the wings removed, and waited for the replacements, which never came. We eventually tracked down our waiter again and asked what was happening, and he expressed that he knew nothing at all about what had been discussed with the manager, said that wings take at least 10 minutes to cook, not5, and if the manager said we're getting them they SHOULD be on their way. We tracked down the manager, who claimed that he had never agreed to replace and refund, that it was one or the other, either we get no wings or we pay for new ones. I asked, to clarify, if there would be no compensation for the fact that we came here, waited in their crowded area and were not allowed to sit at the patio despite clear weather, only to be served uncooked chicken. He told me that he could replace the meals, but we would have to pay for them, meaning he will not offer us anything to make up for the mistake, despite already having discussed and agreed upon the obvious course of action. While we were there we also watched a waiter exit the kitchen visibly LICKING his open palm, went and ate something directly off of a counter, went and assisted customers in the middle of this, and then returned to the kitchen where i saw him walk right past a marked hand sanitizer station without using it; i later saw that same server again exit the kitchen without using the sanitizer, and wipe his entire face from forehead to chin with his open hand, all of this with the bare, unwashed hands with which he was serving customers. As if that wasn't enough, my mother (who does not wear lipstick) also received her wine in a glass with a clear, fresh lipstick mark on the rim. This was not a stain, this was not something that had been left after a quick sloppy wash, it was crystal clear on otherwise clean glass, and it wiped off quite smoothly with a bare thumb. This suggests pretty clearly that an employee, between the time that it was poured and served to our table, took a drink of the wine my mother was paying for, and didn't even bother to wipe the rim of the cup. Never in my life have i seen such disgusting behaviour from restaurant employees. Several employees showing evident disregard for even the most basic habits of cleanly business, eating and drinking from customers orders? And to be LAUGHED AT when I present an extremely clear problem with their service, and then lied to by the MANAGER about how the situation should be handled?? Unacceptable doesn't even cut it. The way this "establishment" is run is insane and abhorrent, if we had taken that food to the health board and explained our experience this place could be facing serious repercussions, and they actively refuse to extend any form of courtesy to make up for the mistakes. I have worked in customer service, the right thing to do is immediately OFFER compensation in whatever way you're able to do, you do not under any circumstances laugh at a complaining customer. 6 customers permanently avoiding this place,...
Read moreStopped in Mustang Sally's for dinner the other night...I'll say that things could have been better. Our seat was in the main dining area and our server was also the bartender...which means we often had to wait for him to do other drink orders before attending to our table. Our dinner consisted of the Loaded Nachos for the appetizer, going with the addition of ground beef. They were actually really good! Piled high with toppings and completely covered with cheese. Then things took a turn for the worse. My companion went for the Greek Wrap with sweet potato fries as the side. No complaints from her on that meal. I went for the Crispy Chicken burger with side salad and was looking forward to a nice golden buttermilk breast, but that's not what I recieved. Instead, it was a very dark...almost black, over cooked hunk of chicken. I did try it....but only one bite...before flagging down our server. He promptly returned it to the chicken and promised a better cooked replacement. After a short wait...I was brought yet another plate with a slightly less burnt chicken breast. It was still inedible with the buttermilk breading. I scraped off the breading and ate what parts I could of the breast...leaving the black chicken portions still on the plate. The server again apologized and did not charge us for my dinner. Conclusion.....I'd try Mustang Sally's again.....but not any of their...
