I came with my family to have dinner at this restaurant. I came with two children, my husband and a my elderly mother. I was really excited to have dinner as it was a celebration. I regret stepping foot in this place.
There were no other customers and it took them 2 and 1/2 hours to serve us (we ordered three appetizers and five meals). We didn't even get water until 45 minutes in and it was warm in plastic bottles with no glasses and no ice.
The food that we were given was different than the food that was on the menu and the owner had the absolute nerve to argue with us about her mistakes. I'm not even talking about substitutions, it was supposed to be mixed meat and there were two small scraps of beef that mainly bone tendon and cartilage. When we pointed this out, the owner complained about the price of goat. That's not our problem. It's ridiculous to be charging people $25 a plate and you aren't getting the meat that is described in the menu as well as you're getting the worst cuts that could only be described as scraps of meat.
The worst part of this nightmare was that when I went to pay she attempted to charge me for things that were not on the menu. she tried to charge me $5 for the side of rice and beans that were included in our mail as per the menu. She also tried to charge me for the bottled waters that I did not ask for that were warm. When I pointed out that I did not ask for bottled water she rolled her eyes at me and said " people don't like drinking tap water ". I have never heard of a restaurant forcing you to buy water . I had to argue with this woman so she would charge me the correct price. The only reason I didn't walk out without paying is because I have morals and values unlike the owner.
The owner attempted to steal from me by charging me for things that were not on the menu as well as giving me things I did not ask for. She would have let us sit down in a warm restaurant with no water unless we paid for it
I would not care if this place went out of business because it should. As a black woman, I wanted to support a black business and the owner should be ashamed of herself that she could treat another black person like this. She is entitled and selfish. I understand that the economy is not great and everyone is dealing with inflation, but she had no right to act the way she did . I did not complain about having to wait. When I got a different menu than everyone else I inquired about your business having different menus and I was told it was fine and that the menus were correct. Only to have the owner snap at me about her menus being wrong. I will put up with having to wait for my food at a small business because I want to support local businesses but there is no reason to be so rude and ignorant.
A tip for you is change your menus to reflect accurate prices and accurate ingredients . The second bit of advice is don't have attitudes with your customers especially when they have not been rude to you.
I don't think this owner will be learning or reflecting from this and I won't be surprised when the business closes.
edit: I read the owners reply and as expected it's full of lies. I have a history of fair and honest reviews. I'm certainly not invested in wether your business stays open and you clearly aren't either. I certainly have no reason to steal from anybody but you have motive to steal from your customers because your business is...
Read moreI had such a lovely experience at this restaurant. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming and relaxed, with soft lighting and cozy seating that made it perfect for both date night and catching up with friends.
The food was absolutely delicious. Every dish looked beautiful and tasted even better—from the fresh appetizers to the flavorful mains and the decadent dessert. You could really tell that everything was made with care and high-quality ingredients.
The service was another highlight. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to enjoy what they were doing. They made great recommendations and checked in just the right amount.
Overall, it was the kind of place that makes you want to come back—not just for the food, but for the whole experience. Definitely a...
Read moreI’ve never had the chance to dine at your restaurant since I’m far away in Australia, but I came across a video online about you, the owner. You are such a kind-hearted person — you prepared a free lunch for a young person going through a tough time and sincerely wished him success in his job interview. To keep your restaurant running, you even drive Uber at night to help cover the costs of repairing the roof. There are so many wonderful people in this world doing their best every day. I truly hope your restaurant continues to thrive. Wishing you prosperous business and all the best — from a friend on the other side...
