Terrible experience. We ordered at 5:30pm. I called the store at 6:45pm asking what the status of my order was, they said it was out for delivery. I asked when it left but they didn't know so I waited another 20 minutes (I live 10 minutes away from the location). I called back at 7:05pm and they told me the same thing. I was told to wait another 5 minutes and call back if it wasn't there. I told them I wasn't going to do that and asked what would they do in 5 minutes that they couldn't do now. The answer was that I would have to call Uber Eats and get my money back and I could talk to the owner the following day. 25 minutes later, our order arrived (2 hours after we ordered it). I asked the driver, who was a Piero's employee, when he left the store. He said he didn't know but when I told him that I called the store 45 minutes prior and was told it was out for delivery he told me it for sure wasn't that long. I took the food and upon opening discovered it to be cold.
I called the store back to tell them that someone was lying to me and I didn't appreciate it. I was given to the owner for him to talk to me. I tried to explain the situation but he just talked over me and wouldn't listen. I finally got to tell him that someone was lying to me and he told me that they don't lie. I asked him to explain what happened and he told me that they can't handle the number of orders they get during the dinner hours and they lose track. I told him what I was hearing was Piero's was not a good place to order dinner. He said he wanted to make a long story short and offered me a free salad on my next order. I told him that I didn't want that and I wouldn't be ordering from him again. At that point he mumbled some things and...
Read moreMy friend ordered from here tonight. She had her daughter’s friends over. She ordered two pizzas and wings. The pizza arrived with buffalo sauce on it instead of regular pizza sauce. The kids didn’t notice by the look of the pizza but bit into it and didn’t like it. So they threw out the pieces already bitten into.
My friend called to tell them what happened. They sent over a pizza to replace it. They refused to actually give it to her though unless she turned over the original pizza. The whole pizza- no bits out of it. But it had been thrown out. When the delivery driver refused to leave the new pizza- the right pizza, she called back confused and the employees belittled her, yelled at her, and hung up. They went as far as saying “You can’t afford $12?” And told her she already received a discount with her original order. What the heck? THEY created the prices themselves! They created the pizza deal. If you don’t like your own prices, changed them. It’s not the customers fault you set your prices low. And I don’t know a single person who would be happy with a pizza deal, if they didn’t receive the actual pizza they ordered.
Later on, without an apologetic photo call, a pizza was delivered.
I say- too little too late.
What awful service!
My friend has been a loyal costumer there for years. Lives close- orders often.
I am disgusted. Even if my friend orders from there, I certainly won’t. And I will be encouraging others to follow me.
Shame on you.
My friend is a very hard working mom who was trying to do something fun for her kids and her friends. Instead her daughter’s friends were hungry and she was left scrabbling with many mouths to feed and feeling...
Read moreGood pizza and terrible delivery experience
I’ve always known that Piero Pizza's delivery service is problematic, but I kept ordering because their pizza is genuinely delicious. Over an hour-long delivery time and untrackable delivery drivers were frustrating, but I put up with it.
However, this time the experience was simply unacceptable.
I placed an order at 10:45 PM, with Uber Eats estimating delivery between 12:00-12:20 AM. At 11:41 PM, the driver called me (which I would have appreciated if it were an early delivery), but the call lasted only a few seconds and ended before I picked it. I called it back at 11:43 PM and 11:52 PM, no answer. By 12:10 AM, with no calls or messages, I went down to my lobby to check—no food was there.
No choice, I called the restaurant, and the person who answered is a man with a thick accent and an incredibly rude attitude—totally shocked me with his response. He bluntly said I had two options: either pay an additional $5-6 for redelivery or not receive my food at all. My food was neither left at my lobby nor delivered, but taken away as leverage to charge extra. Reluctantly, I agreed to pay the additional $5, and magically, my order arrived just two minutes later. They sent a friendly delivery driver who has no clue about the situation, only know that he needs to charge me 5 dollar. I couldn’t bring myself to complain to him.
This is the last time I will ever order from Piero Pizza. If you try to contact the store for help through Uber Eats, it redirects you to their delivery staff manager—the same rude man mentioned earlier. So, I guess the restaurant is full acquiesced to this.
Avoid this place if you value your time,...
