La Michoacana – A Taste of Authentic Mexican Cuisine in London

Today, I want to share my experience at La Michoacana, a Mexican restaurant in London with talented cooks from Michoacán and Veracruz. While it’s on the pricier side, it’s absolutely worth it if you’re craving authentic Mexican food.

You have great options here—the combo plate is perfect if you want to try three different tacos, while the steak plate is ideal if you’re really hungry. The food is incredibly fresh, full of flavor, and served in generous portions that will leave you completely satisfied.

They also offer traditional Mexican beverages like sangria and agua de horchata, as well as delicious, super fresh guacamole and chips.

Service is quick if you’re ordering the combo plate, though the steak plate takes a bit longer—but trust me, it’s worth the wait!

I am always in the hunt for real Mexican food and especially some that take me back to my visits to Mexico. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. We got our food very quickly especially compared to some other places similar to this that I’ve been. I highly recommend the chicken enchiladas in mole. I still need to go back and try them with the green sauce. I also had jamaica (hibiscus drink). It was delicious. I like it both sweet or sour and this one was sweet. You should try it if it is new to you. My friend loved her meal. She had al pastor and chicken tacos. Serving sizes are fantastic. The vibe in there is similar to some of the comida corridas I have been to in Mexico. I find there is generally a sense of community and that was not missing here. I wish I had a time machine so I could eat my meal all over again. I recommend this place highly and I will be back for...

I’m visiting London and was searching for authentic Mexican cuisine because it’s my favourite 🥰💯and I’m so happy and excited that I honestly found the BEST AUTHENTIC MEXICAN restaurant, not only in London but I’d have to say that I’ve ever tried in any city❤️💕💕🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟#☝️Incredibly delicious food and the staff is wonderful too!!! The great and beautiful SELENA was playing and I got goose bumps and truly made me feel like I’m in Mexico. Also, met a nice gentleman and he shared with me the love of food and how this restaurant reminds him of home because he’s from Mexico. He takes a bite of food and he has flashbacks of his home and sharing good food and times back in his heartland. I just absolutely love hearing stories like this one because food brings us back to good memories always. That’s how you know it’s good 😊❤️🫶 I love it. I’ll be here every time I visit London. I’ll miss it...
