Shawarma Garden — Restaurant in Ontario

I have been craving Shawarma for almost a full week and I must have come here on a good night but if this is how it is every night then I sure hope the owners and employees are being recognized for it. Service is good, as it's always been, but the preparation of my meal was a whole lot quicker than I remember it being because I paid in under a few minutes and had my meal in 10 minutes, and the only thing being waited for was the meat because I guess the oven had to be fired up again.

For reference, this restaurant used to have a different owner and my aunt and I knew him because we all helped out with the refugee program. Nut he has since moved out and I believe he relocated to Montreal but I could be wrong. Nice guy but he'd been having a rough time with personal issues and I hope he's doing better now. The new owner seems to know what he is doing. Prices have gone up just a bit but service is faster and it isn't as difficult to let the servers know what you want. And as per pandemic restrictions, masks are required and there is a line with sanitizer near the front door.

You cannot eat in here and were never able to since the lockdown began in March of 2020. Nor do you really need to phone ahead. You can walk in, order your meal, watch it being prepared, and walk out in a reasonable amount of time. 10 minutes is the upper limit; if the oven's already going then you'll be out of there faster. The atmosphere is great, better in the afternoon but good in the evening as well. Servers are friendly and know what they are doing. And the food...my craving was sooo justified tonight because within half an hour everything is gone now. My ONLY critique would be that there needs to be a better way to let people know the place is open in the evenings because it always looks so dark inside.

Anyway, I've rambled long enough. Shawarma Garden is a wonderful establishment and adds more diversity to the usual fast food assortment we have in Brockville.

I absolutely love this place! I decided to give this small "mom and pop's" place a try and am I ever glad I did. The food is wonderful, and it is always the same people, who seem to be the owners, serving you so they actually have something invested in you enjoying the food, and your time there....and they do really try hard to make your experience a good one. The seating area is nothing fancy but it is kept very clean, and they food is served very quickly and is so delicious I would eat every meal there if I could. The pricing on the food is higher then your usual fast food restaurant but it is so worth it. The portions are big, and you will leave there full no matter what you order. I suggest trying the potatwedges with the garlic dip they have for them. It is to die for. So is the beef donair and the baklava they have there is the best j have ever had. This place has become my favorite place to eat in all of Brockville, and if you want to support the small business owner as apposed to the big chain stores and restaurants you have to visit this place, get served by the owners who are so friendly, and kind....You will want to go back over and over just as I do. This place...

Absolutely Fantastic Service and Food!

My boyfriend and I had a delicious meal at Shawarma garden in Brockville. The food was fresh and flavourful- but what truly made our visit unforgettable was the EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE. The gentleman who plated our food went above and beyond. You could tell he genuinely cared about the quality and experience of each customer. He was kind and attentive.

The portions were generous, the ingredients were top-notch, and everything was prepared with care. We'll definitely be coming back.

Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for delicious shawarma and outstanding hospitality.

A small suggestion - it would be great if staff wore name tags or if their names were shared somehow. It would allow customers to personally thank them and acknowledge their hard work. The team truly deserves that...
