I have never written a bad review for anything, but I was so disappointed in our experience here - especially after a friend told me she had the best steak ever there a year ago, and ours was the opposite. We were a large group of 12 people, so understandingly, the restaurant wanted to limit our choice, which we were fine doing. Our choices were steak, chicken, fish, or vegetarian pasta. We all decided on our choices before we visited the restaurant. We didn't know that we all had to have our steak cooked the same way. When I said I wanted mine rare, the waitress/owner said NO, you all have it the same way: medium rare. I was the only one who asked for something other than medium rare. How hard would it have been to put mine on last? I was shocked that I had to have my steak cooked the same as everyone else's - so shocked that I didn't know what to say - but I should have ordered something else. I even said I didn't care if my food came out at the same time - she didn't even listen. My steak was medium, not even a bit of pink - way overcooked for me, and so salty. The waitress/owner didn't seem to care - even when, in the end, she asked if I wanted a box for it - after only eating a quarter of it (and I only did that because I was hungry). I said that I didn't, but someone in our group took it. The restaurant is cute, and the salad was good, but paying for a steak and not having it cooked the way you like it is crazy! Customer Service is greatly lacking...

If you are looking for a quick meal at sit down restaurant with fast service, a menu full of more selections than you could eat in a month, and be out before you even realize you've eaten... this place isn't for you.

However, if you're looking for something different, something local, not the same old chain food and roadhouse style menu. If you want a meal that could easily be mistaken for homecooked, without having to cook or clean up yourself... the Noshery is the place to go!

It's definitely not your normal, small, local eatery. From the minute you walk in, the upbeat, friendly atmosphere draws you in and the eklectic, pop-culture decor will keep you absorbed by it. The atmosphere is further enhanced by the friendly staff who make you feel as though you're one of their old friends.

The menu compliments the atmosphere and decor perfectly. It's short and sweet, yet still offers enough choice to satisfy even the most particular eaters. You can instantly taste the difference between a freshly cooked meal and one that has been precooked and reheated. Their homemade dressings and sauces add to the exquisite taste of your freshly cooked meal.

So... if you're looking for a new place with a great atmosphere and flavorful food, give Stef and Karen at the Noshery a try, you won't be disappointed. But remember... a freshly cooked meal takes time. So sit back, relax, have drink, look around and enjoy all the character the...

First things first. If you call for reservations, don’t be put off by the somewhat detailed and demanding recording. Nor by the prominent sign placed at the entryway with instructions on dining etiquette. While I admit both were off-putting, once I met the hostess, she could not have been more gracious or helpful-so I put it all down to the fact she’s detail-oriented and sincere in her desire to create a great dining experience for all.

And it was!

Our table of 5 enjoyed (individually) the filet mignon, the ribeye, the pork chop, lobster bisque, the Mediterranean platter, and Arancini. One word: SPECTACULAR! Every dish was beautifully plated, colourful, perfectly cooked and appealing to the eyes and palate. Portions were large. Seasonings were blended with precision, and what was hot, arrived hot, what was cold was served cold!

This was a pre-concert meal and we had plenty of time to visit, eat, and make our way to BAC ahead of the show.

If you’re into nostalgia and quirky little pieces from the past, you’ll love the ambiance. So many items prompted smiles
and conversations, evoking good memories!

Come, sit for a bit, and savour. You’ll be...

its REALLY REALLY LITERALLY CUTE LOVELY AND WARM FAMILY RESTAURANT! the female host and her CHEF husband own and hold this restaurant. this restaurant was also recommended by chatgpt so at the beginning we JUST wanna give it a try but it impressed us so muchI like their soup, the creamy onion broth with the tart(the top part I don't know what's it) remind me of 酄皟愶æČč蘑菇汀(sorry it's MANDARIN)from Chinese pizz-hut. their lobster is also fresh and medium-rare beef Is also juicy and chewable and with sweet and tasteable broccoli and red parrot on side(usually I don't like đŸ„•)even the beef and lobster are a little bit too salty for us(should be perfect for domestic and white people/market). also like their CHEESECAKE which is moisturecreamy and appropriate sweet and with a lighter texture compared with most of other Newyork cheesecake. the host also TREAT everyone fairly nice so she and her whole business are worth of our 20% tip

Awesome support of local producers and products. This is NOT fast food and NOT generic meals like many other restaurants try to pass off as homemade. This new vibrant place has original recipes made in house from as many local suppliers as they can. Prices do reflect that but then again if you want a fast, cookie cutter type of meal then you can choose from many other chain restaurants in town. If you want fresh original food then The Noshery is your stop. The decor is eclectic and fun, especially for music lovers and Star Wars fans. They've opened a deli / country store next door where you can source local honey, fresh bread, meats and coffees. Very cool. This place is a welcome addition to downtown and worth going back to. It's also worth a slight diversion off the 401 if you're driving past Brockville. Drop in for a great meal then walk it off visiting the historic train tunnel close by.
