Small Dimensions Fish & Chips & More — Restaurant in Ontario

So, this place was kinda mind-blowing, it seems like a really nice family atmosphere. But several people were not wearing masks and were paying and walking around the restaurant and through the doors with no mask on. I know for a fact that you're supposed to wear a mask when you're paying and leaving any eating establishment. The cook of the actual place was not wearing a mask when cooking the food. The owner of the place was very nice but she was wearing a mouth Shield that I only saw her put on when I would walk into the establishment. I saw her talking to customers with no mask or mouth shield, nothing. I was very frightened from my trip there but I thought the food was going to be good so I wasn't going to let that ruin my time. Then we got the food which was very overpriced we didn't get the proper portion that was advertised for the fish. It was supposed to come with a roll but was instead a piece of Wonder bread with butter. The fish had bones in it and still have the skin on. Was a little surprised to see the fish wasn't battered, I think they should advertise that the fish does not come battered. The place was already closed by the time we had gotten our take out so we never called and complained but definitely would have if we were not leaving camping...

This is the best fish and chips I have had, hands-down. All their daily specials are excellent as well. I find the food to be as good, as well prepared, as well presented and just as tasty as any fancy bistro in a major city. I only come to town for a week once a year to do some work. This is one of the highlights I look forward to when in town. I would recommend it to anybody, you will not be disappointed. My only disappointment is that I am only here for a week each year😁. I would also like to add a note for the people who have reviewed this place with low numbers. I think the purpose of these reviews is to rate the restaurant and the food. Your Covid related comments are kind of out of place. Just think about the people who earn a living and put a great effort into this. Covid is on the tail end a lot of places weren’t enforcing it strictly. So I would suggest you get off your high horse go back and edit your reviews and show some respect for these hard-working people who put out such great food. Thx again...

Looking for a small town restaurant with amazing food and a friendly staff? Then look no further! This cute little place is the definition of mum-and-pop, they have 3 staff members, the mum makes the food while the pop tends to the customers and another cleans dishes. Eating here is like coming home from college and eating a home cooked meal. Everything is made with such love and care, and in large portions. After our meal we stayed and happily chatted with the owners passed closing, and they weren't in any hurry to kick us out. If your coming from the city the decor will seem a bit outdated. But it's not scary like some other places in Dunnvile. You gotta come here at least once on your way through!
