Sons of Kent Brewing Company — Restaurant in Ontario

We went there on Friday night was very busy and also hosting a private event. Table service was non existent but I’m not sure if that was due to how busy it was or if it’s cause the event or if it’s always like that Friday. To order food you have to walk up to the bar. Just something to make note of.

We ordered the burger and fries and a pretzel with the beer cheese dip. Got 2 flights of beers.

So to start the pretzel and it’s dip was amazing I wasn’t sold on the thought of it Initially but I’m so glad I got it and tried it its an absolute must. The burgers were very good you can tell it’s fresh ingredients and high quality meat it’s definitely a contender for one of the best burgers I had. The fries were pretty good I just wish there was a little more salt and since there was no table service or any salt on the tables if you wanted more ketchup besides the small container or more salt you’d have to go ask them at the bar. Like I mentioned before it could have been just that night it may not always be like that. The flight of beers to try is fairly priced and a great option to try a large variety of beers many of them are very good. Overall good food good beer good atmosphere just having some small level of table service would work wonders or even something as small as having salt pepper and ketchup at the table. I had been here once before and had the same great experience the second time. Great selection of beer, if you're not sure which one you would enjoy opt for a flight of beer for $11.30 I believe. You get to taste 4 of the beers of your choosing. Menu is not hugez but you're there for the beer! Everything I've eaten here has been fantastic. On this trip I had the Reuben sandwich - very filling and man was it tasty.

One note - you need to go to the bar to order and if you're planning on getting some brews to take home or some of their great merchandise (hats, t-shirts, sweaters, glassware etc.) Let them know that you're planning on paying for everything at the end.

If you're looking for a casual Saturday or a nice first date spot I would highly recommend this...

Came by today to check this brewery out. Being from Vancouver and a huge beer fan decided to grab a flat of assorted beers and I was very happy that I did. Flywheel lager was bright and crisp and had all the essence of an old style American lager, lo-fi key lime and sea salt had a nice bite to it and didn't finish to sweet which is what I had first anticipated. Juice box hazy IPA had a bold flavour with wonderful Citra notes. But my favorite was the spirit wolf coffee blonde, this was a very impressive collaboration of coffee and blonde lager , it reminded me of a favorite I buy back home but I think spirit wolf takes the win. Thanks for the great beer and look forward to trying what you have next time...
