I’ve been here three separate times. great place if you want to wait hours to get god awful service, god awful food, and listen to a background track of basketball practice/gym noises mixed with the same 8 “pop-punk” songs on a forever loop.
the first time i sat for over an hour in an empty restaurant and left without even being acknowledged by staff. i thought maybe it was a “order at the bar” type situation until multiple other groups were welcomed in, given menus, and were immediately brought drinks and their food despite them arriving 45 minutes after i had originally sat down.
the second time i sat at the bar and waited almost an hour again, this time i got service and ordered nachos. when i ordered i said “no jalapeños please i don’t like peppers”. waiter confirmed no peppers. twice. after almost another hour i got nachos covered in what seemed 2 cups of raw green peppers??
the third time was during a student event so granted they were more busy that usual. however i waited over TWO HOURS for a single vodka cran and a basket of fries. i reminded the staff twice that i was missing food, and when i went to pay the waiter tried to charge me for the food i never received. i told them that i never got the food and i waited 2 hours and that i reminded the staff multiple times and all i got was an “uh sorry” and they ran away as soon as i paid.
i get that it’s student run but it doesn’t excuse the collective almost 5 hours of time between THREE VISITS that i’ve sat in the restaurant being ignored. i just want food between my classes that isn’t from a vending machine or tim...
Read moreIt's a real shame that SLC has suspended the Hospitality program, as the St Larry's staff and NEW management could take some lessons. I'm an alum (2024) who popped by for some business today, and decided to grab a beer in the pub that was an integral part of my 2-year experience at SLC. That place was awesome. Today? Not so much. Here's some highlights: bartender and manager talking smack about the school right in front of me sat for 15 minutes at the bar with an empty glass, and my debit card out. Never got asked if I wanted anything else (which should be before the glass is empty, honestly), did not get asked if I wanted my bill, listened to staff and manager talk directly in front of me, then walk away watched manager serve an UNOPENED tall can, walk away, offer a glass, walk back and set the glass down beside the still unopened beer. Thanks for the roadie, Beth. I've seen the pub busy, and today was not it. There was confusion between front and back of the house, draft tap issues and nobody seemed to understand how their taps work. FYI - service calls get expensive. How do I know? I've worked both sides of the house in restaurants and bars for years. I know chaos when I see it. I honestly don't know what the food is like these days, as I didn't have anything today because I was never offered a menu which is why I rated it 1 star. I've reviewed this bar before, and gave it a glowing...
Read moreI've given this place 2 tries and both times We've recieved god awful service, It is slow every time 2 other tables in the entire place both times, On one visit we sat for about 10 minutes without anyone awgnowleding us until another party walked in and they got menus right away, We only got noticed when one of the employees brought over an order that wasnt ours to our table. We eventually got our food, About 3 times my friend had asked for condiments for their food and it was never brought over. Neither time were we asked if we wanted our bill me and my entire group had on one occasion waited 40 minutes before having to go ask for our bills. No drink refills offered I'm just not...
