Taco Bell — Restaurant in Ontario

I visited this location in the late afternoon on April 28th, 2023. I ordered the "Party Pack" for $27.99 (before tax), but was charged $29.09 (before tax) instead. The price of $27.99 was clearly displayed on the overhead menu.

When I questioned the price discrepancy there was mass confusion. The employee kept trying to explain that it was the tax, but I was disputing the pre-tax price and she could not understand.

She called over another employee to help. This employee leaned over the counter to see the customer facing screen on the register as I pointed out the error on the display. She then looked at the overhead menu and could see that there was a discrepancy. At this point I was naively expecting her to corrwct the issue.

She re-entered my order and it came to the same incorrect total. Only this time she did it in such a way that I could no longer see my order on the screen in what I can only assume was an attempt to conceal the error.

I told her that it was still incorrect and she said that the price in the register has changed and the overhead menu was not updated.

I told her that the sign was misleading and they were very dishonest. I cancelled my order and left.

I have low expectations from the start any time I visit Taco Bell. I expect "meh" food and multiple errors with my order, but I have no tolerance for getting scammed or ripped off. I'll get my loose stools from another...

What is there to say really…. It’s Mexican food made by someone who has never actually eaten Mexican food. It’s Taco Bell…. It’s ok lol. Food quality the same as any other location. Staff bother me here though. Barely look at you. Hard time understanding one middle eastern guy. Middle eastern woman was very rude. Sticky tables. Staff busy talking in Punjabi I assume instead of doing their jobs… minimum wage people putting in minimum wage effort but expecting more, same old. Go for the tacos not for the ambiance I suppose. Also bothered me one of the times I went I had to explain to the guy on till multiple times what I wanted and he kept punching it in wrong making the bill very expensive. Told him 2 taco meal, add 2 hard tacos. He kept punching in 4 tacos then fries and a drink and it was like $20. Had to explain no… punch in the meal…. Then add 2 more hard tacos to the order. Had to do this 3 times before he did it. Saved like $5. How do I know how to do your job better than you? Or were you just trying to run...

There is no option to rate it as a 0 star else I would have done that. The worst customer service.

Customer Service : I picked up my order and when reached home, I saw that fries was missing. I headed back to the store and mentioned that the order is not complete and they should take care as I burn worth of $5 gas to get the fries worth of $3, to make them realize customer is not fool. Instead of training the employees, the owner started having argument with me and told me that I am being rude and bla bla... It is completely understood that owner doesn't care about the customer at all.

Food : The food was worst as well, no stuffing at all, was feeling like eating the wraps without stuffing. Food was not warm at all even felt like it was just taken out from the freeze.

That was my last visit to taco bell ever as there are many other Mexican options...
