Tonight, I found a Metal Staple in my mouthful of pepperoni/cheese, small pizza!!! The Restaurant was closed during month of July and reopened August 1. I ordered from this restaurant, a couple of weeks ago and, with my order, I received a free poutine. I gave the poutine to my neighbour who informed me, she was quite sick, after eating the poutine and, felt she had food poisoning! Now, after standing by The Shack's food, I find a staple. A pizza box has no staples! I called and spoke to the waitress about this incident and was told...these things happen! She has worked in Restaurants a long time and has seen this type of thing happen. That really made me feel good. We put our trust and hard earned money on food ordered from restaurants and tip their driver very well so, when the Restaurant sends it's driver to drop off the cost of the pizza instead of the Owner dealing with the customer, directly, it begs the question...why? I was given an apology, by the driver, NOT THE OWNER! Shame on you Sir. Maybe, my business is not good enough for you. So, I will throw out your menu, remove you from my "contact" list! Incidentally thank goodness cell phones take photos. Mr OWNER, you should have...
Read moreVery nice order-desk style pizza place with an unexpectedly excellent fried fish in their fish and chips. (The fried fish is made from fresh each morning, in house, which isn't on the published menu yet) Being a small and busy place I wouldn't expect them to go too far out of their way, but they were friendly and brought us our food to the picnic table when it was ready with a smile and a couple of followups to be sure everything was good. (Presence of small children may have contributed. 🙂) I can't speak for the rest of the menu either way, didn't try it, but the pizza was a very good classic: tender(not chewy) pizza dough, a good amount of a medium slightly sweet sauce, pepperoni and cheese (my family are all used to Domino's thin crust so found it a bit rich, and maybe not spicy enough, I liked it though. Brought back lots of memories.) BTW they have a cat that likes their "Open" sign, say hi to Princess for me if you go...
Read moreThere menu doesn’t match their prices, maybe making prices up as they go! I called to order a chicken pita and they said it comes with onions and tomatoes that’s it. I told my partner and they said “ya that’s good how much?” I said 30$ for two and a fries. He’s like “no no no, their menu says this price that’s like 10$ more with taxes.” I tell the waitress they said “mmmmhhhhmmm… well now it’s this.” :/ ok well your menu doesn’t reflect that and that’s is a huge issue with most restaurants. Change your menu! Or don’t because it’s greedy praying on the desperate economy. If you’re choosing to change your menu, don’t tell me on the phone. I now have to tell you that’s messed up wasting my time. I don’t know if you’re just making up your prices and changing them whenever you want. Keep your plain ass wrap for 15$ as part of a deal with nothing on it....
