Honestly wanted to love this one but was left dissapointed. Giving two stars in total ONLY because the service was great and the place itself was clean and fun. If my review was fully based on food, then i would struggle to give it a one star because thats where tiger jacks missed the mark. Big time. This is my second time here (first time, same rating) i personally would of never come here to eat again but My friend had booked a reservation so for him i tried again, really wanting this time to be different. Upon glancing on the menu I decided to go small and simple this time and ordered a pound of chicken wings (honey garlic), my husband did the same just in a different flavor.(BBQ) We thought Order simple, leave satisfied (hahaha wrong!) . We also ordered a full ceasar which they then told me was going to be 2$ extra due to a romaine shortage?. Ok thats fine, whats two dollars extra for a bomb salad am i right?! We do pay for convenience at the end of the day. Fast forward - They bring out the food in a timely manner, everything looks good, smells good, so far so good. We dig in, and are hit with a big wave of dissapointment. Im not sure how you can butcher something as simple as chicken wings but.. they did. Now, Im not a picky eater but when i order sauced wings, i expect to get some SAUCY a** wings. At the end of the day I pay for flavour!! And when i tell you that I could taste the chicken skin through the sauce it was so thin, guys i could literally taste the skin more than i could taste the sauce. As for the meat, well The meat was dry as all heck and really fatty. My husband had a hard time even getting through his (BBQ) and that man eats everything!!!! As for the salad im not sure if they were having a ceasar dressing shortage too, but it sure seemed like it. I could barely taste the dressing and instead tasted just watery romaine - which is fitting because i payed 2$ extra for it!! - needless to say, we packed up and left dissapointed before we could even try their in house dessert (did not want to spend another dime in there) which i was looking forward to trying. But sadly it doesnt end there, While driving home me and my husband both felt sick ! and because i have digestion problems when we got home i rushed to the toilet and had to throw up the dry meat that my body could not process. This is NOT a normal thing for me to do after eating chicken wings. In conclusion - Bad Bad BAD food , Great service, fun enviroment which i like for its uniqueness. But at the end of the day i go out to a restaurant to eat, so a bulk of the review is based on the food and the experience i...
Read moreFirst off, parked in the side parking lot. An employee without their uniform tells us even he has to go in the front when he starts work. Odd that we have to walk all the way around to access the restaurant at the front. Get greeted, they say we just missed the rush. Great. Order the surf and turf. Best part was that we received a small loaf of bread and salad, which came with our meal. We thought, okay decent. We receive the surf and turf. The steak isn't seasoned and there is no garlic in the garlic potatoes. And surf and turf means you get a couple "Tiger Jack shrimp" which are so small, they put them right on top of your steak. This was definitely not surf and turf. I kid you not, this meal was a step up from the bare minimum food you would receive from a hospital. The salad was the best part of the meal. The waitress Angela, was very accommodating and very nice. BUT, the food was meh, just bland. Would not be back. Oh and you'll be greeted by two stuffed tigers when you enter, if you are into that thing. The experience was less to be desired. Kinda like visiting someones grandma that has old candies left in a candy dish and she is asking for you to take...
Read moreWe have been coming here for over a decade. I remember when they had playstations near the bar area so kids could play while you waited for your food, 13 year old me loved that! Even though that's gone and the inside has had minor changes, the food has stayed consistently fantastic. It's more expensive than I remember but so is everything, not to mention it's still worth the money given the quality. The staff have always been super friendly and the rare time there's been a miscalculation of the bill or a mistake we've had our expectations exceeded by them. They know how to treat their customers right. We LOVE the waffle fries here and my favorite thing to get is the szechwan wrap. The menu has something for everyone, and their lunch menu is still affordable. I love coming when there's a hockey game on and sitting at the booths with little TVs. Tiger jacks has got to be my #1 favorite independently owned restaurant in London. I hope tiger jacks continues to use the same ingredients and procedures that keeps their bar and grill food some of the best in the city. We will be coming back for...
