I have frequent this restaurant for quite some time now. I usually order pick up and normally have a great meal. I went in person Last September with a group of about 8. This was the first time I was disappointed in Yasmin's especially because it was my suggested and I gave it such high praise. The server was very scattered and did not provide great service. I gave her the benefit of the doubt because we did have a larger group and she seemed new. What was shocking was the food. Both the lamb chops and the vegetables that I had so many times before were really lack luster. The whole situation somewhat turned me off, but I didn't think it was fair to give a negative review.
Fast forward to May 14th, 2022, we were celebrating a birthday and my buddy suggested that we order Yasmin's which he loves. It's been awhile so we were game to try it again. The friend that suggested it mentioned that they have forgotten things such a baclava & dip several times before, but they usually make up for it next time. We place an Uber Eats order of over $200 for 4 people, 3 lamb chops meals, a chicken shish tawook dish along with several sides & Dessert. Took quite a while to prepare and the driver was waiting quite, but it was a lot of food and it was Saturday night. Food arrived, and the first thing my friend said was, "Let's take inventory", joking that something would be forgot. We take out the food excitedly, only to notice that the chicken shish tawook was not there. This was the meal for the person we were celebrating for. What is worst, that he doesn't eat lamb so we couldn't even share our meals with him. My friend called Yasmin's to complain and see what happened/can be done. The person who was on the phone was nice, talked to his manager and came back saying that they can send a coupon for a free entree & Dessert. This doesn't fix the issue that someone is unable to have dinner. I understand that it was a delivery order and that it's a hard thing to rectify, but it's still unfortunate that they didn't make a better effort. My friend was unhappy and said it's not necessary because he's not going back.
We went on google, placed an order at a more local restaurant for me so we could quickly grab food so we can all begin to eat. We of course waited to eat until everyone had their food. Headed out the door to pick up the order and the manager finally called my friend back. He offered the a gift certificate. Once again at this point, our food is getting cold, we called right away and it took so long for the manager to get back to us that we had to put another order in at another restaurant. After the refusal of a gift card and I was out the door to pick up the new order, he offered to deliver it to us. Of course this isn't an option at this point.
I would not recommend this restaurant. I will not be ordering from them again because of the service. I don't know how you receive a $200 order and ensure 100% that AT LEAST all the entrees are in. Be very careful when...

I have never felt so disrespected by a employee in a service industry ever before. The food was pretty good and the only reason they're getting 1 stars is because the food is halal, but otherwise it was a very shocking experience.
The waitress was very disrespectful to my girlfriend and my cousin. The waitress frequently cut her off in the middle of sentences, would not make eye contact, and was very rude in her demeaner. I assume it was because my girlfriend looks very young and went after her classes (was dressed comfortably) that the waitress did not give her any importance.
For a company in the service industry is it extremely detrimental to a business to treat their customers with prejudice and disrespect. We have been wanted to try this place for months now, but after this experience I will not be going back unless there are some major changes made to employee training.
In addition, my girlfriend got an order for take out and the portion size was significantly less (almost half) in the take out container than what was being served in the restaurant, however it was shockingly priced the same.
To put the cherry on top, the waitress had no issue lying about the wait times. After ordering takeout and waiting for 10 minutes, my girlfriend asked the waitress how longer would it be because she needed and to catch a bus. She was reassured the food would be ready in 2 minutes, however, the food came a whole 20 minutes later. Again, the employee should be given proper training so that they are not lying to their customers. This sort of behavior creates mistrust, ruins the experience of the customer, and ruins the reputation of the company.
Finally, their menu needs some clarification. Written on the menu is unlimited pita bread which is assumed to be given upon ordering, however, the waitresses explained that the customer "must ask for it". That should be made clear on the menu (ie. Upon request) if that is a menu option the restaurant wishes to offer.
Overall, the food was good, and more importantly halal (which London needs more of) but the experience at the restaurant was very disappointing to say the least. The waitress was rude and potentially prejudice, the take out portions were disappointingly small for the same price as dine-in and the menu was not clear and almost misleading.
I would love to go back to Yasmine's Restaurant for the food, to support a local business, and to support a restaurant that serves halal food, however, without proper employee training and discipline I most definitely will not be going back and will advice my friend and family to...
Read moreWish I had read the bad reviews before we went .Party of 5,requested if we could sit in the corner booth, were told that it was reserved for a party of 8.No big deal, except,30 mins after we were there,a couple were shown the booth who enjoyed( hopefully) the lunch in there. We did see a party of 8 in the middle of the restaurant when we were leaving.Normally, this would not be an issue, but since everything was downhill from the moment we stepped in,thought I would mention that too I asked our East Indian waitress if I could have some hot water. She proceeded to bring me boiling water in a tall glass, with no handle. Not sure if she gave it any thought how I was supposed to hold the boiling glass, let alone try to drink it.I asked her if I could have a spoon deliberately & told her that I was going to "spoon "over some of the water into an empty glass, hoping she would get the idea.Thankfully she did ,got me a tea mug & asked me to go ahead & pour it into the mug,as if I needed her permission to do so!! Our food arrived, which I had told our waitress we were going to share,so the small appetizer plates were left behind, guess they don't have dinner plates,or spoons.Because when I asked our server if she expected us to use our already soiled forks to take our portions, she seemed confused,as if the say, what do you need spoons for? I asked her how come there was no pita breads with the dishes we ordered, her response,"oh did they not bring it?" When I commented to her that service is really terrible, from the whole hot water fiasco ,to the lack of cutlery, her response was,"we don't normally serve hot water"& proceeded to be rude & argumentative. My advice to the manager, who I'm sure has been made aware of the situation, please hire staff, who at the very least have common sense.& If they have that,I'm sure they know that talking back rudly to your customers is the best way to make sure they NEVER come back, especially in a university town like London. P .S the food was not fresh. The Arayas was reheated ,so was the mixed grill. The online menu is different Says you get complimentary pita with your hot appetizers, which we did not. In short, the place has no redeeming qualities.Save your...
