I recently had the unfortunate experience of dining at Shoeless Joe's Sports Grill (Orangeville location), and I must say it was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that this establishment had some serious issues, primarily stemming from its management and their unprofessional behaviour.
To make matters worse, it became apparent that the management had no regard for their employees' well-being. I witnessed a shocking incident where a staff member was publicly fired in front of customers, creating a hostile and awkward environment. It was not only unprofessional but also deeply disturbing to witness such a callous display of power to publicly humiliate an employee. On top of this, the employee was fired merely for asking the manager a question. The manager's behaviour shows a complete lack of respect for the individuals who work tirelessly to keep the restaurant running smoothly.
Given the evident mismanagement and the appalling treatment of their employees, it is no wonder that this restaurant fails to meet even the most basic standards of customer service. It's clear that the management's priorities lie elsewhere, and they have little regard for creating a positive dining experience.
I strongly advise potential diners to steer clear of Shoeless Joe's Orangeville location. Save your time and money for establishments that prioritize customer satisfaction and respect their staff. There are countless other options in the area that will provide a far more enjoyable and satisfying...
Read moreWe will not be going back to this Shoeless Joe's. Over an hour to get our food and it cost almost $50 for a burger & fries and two kid's cheese only flatbread/pizzas (5" x 5" cut into 4 square slices). We also ordered 3 drinks and 2 more fries but never got them. It took 20 minutes for the server to take our order and at least an hour before the food arrived. We were given just 2 forks, no napkins or condiments, not even salt and pepper. Another table heard my kids saying they were thirsty and gave us a cup of water (server was MIA for long periods of time, she might have been the only one working in the restaurant). When food arrived it was okay, but we'd waited so long no one was hungry anymore.
We were warned when we got the table that the wait time would be longer because a couple of hockey teams showed up unexpectedly, but this was a terrible experience. The waitress acknowledged the bad service and kindly offered to not charge us for the drinks, but seeing that we never got our drinks it was a moot gesture. I spoke to the owner/manager on the way out and he said there was a hydro problem which resulted in a lack of clean dishes. He did apologize and offered a coupon for a next visit, which I declined as we will never be returning to this establishment. There's a Tim's across the road and a Chuck's Roadhouse around the corner which have never...
Read moreThis used to be one of my favourite local restaurants when I moved to Orangeville two years ago. However, the service and food have greatly declined since then. I came here for dinner with my sister, mom, and dad on a Monday evening to celebrate my dad's birthday. Keep in mind, many better options in Orangeville are closed on Mondays so we decided to give this a shot. We sat down at 6:30 pm and did not see our server until 7:20 pm, and that was after waving them over. We waited almost 45 minutes for our food with no update from our server, which is ridiculous for a four person table. There were about two other tables with three-four people throughout the whole restaurant at the time. I ordered a single serving of nachos and received them cold and overcooked, literally the cheese was burnt and stuck to whatever paper the nachos were served on, and barely had any toppings. Why do you call them "mountain stacked" nachos when I can count the amount of toppings with one hand? The service and food received was definitely NOT worth almost $80, and this is definitely NOT a place to go to celebrate a birthday. We left upset and hungry. One star is generous...
