La Mie D'Orford — Restaurant in Orford

I have had many breakfasts there. Always delicious and exactly what you want for breakfast. Fast, efficient service. Good coffee and a large menu to select from. The highlights are delicious artisanal breads always perfectly toasted and buttered served with homemade strawberry preserve and homemade caramel spread. Yummy. One disappointing omission is they don’t offer boiled eggs. Too bad, would be wonderful with those delicious toasts. A large outdoor terrace with a covered section to protect us from the hot summer sun and an other with open tables and individual umbrellas. Nice options. The service was not very good. I had to send my breakfast back because the eggs were not cooked as I requested. My girlfriend had time to eat her breakfast before I got mine back from the kitchen and only after asking for it and again the eggs were still not cooked as if the plate had been just sitting in the kitchen for 15 minutes. I did not want to spend anymore time there so I eat the rest and not the eggs. When I complained at the cash the girl simply said that it was my fault and proceeded to charge me for what I had eaten as separate items. That to me is horrible customer service! The food?...

Really good homemade breakfast, everything tasted so good and freshly made that we even came back the second day of our stay in orford. The portions are generous, the potatoes were the best i had in a breakfast restaurant. The only downside were my poached eggs being a bit overcooked. At there defense the restaurant was full that day, even had a line up (over 10 persons were waiting for a table), they probably had a lot of order to make.
