Father is very nice and friendly. Salads are excellent! Great most of the time. However if they get busy, the grease doesn't heat up enough to cook the food quickly. Then, everything gets full of grease before it cooks. The food is very greasy then. Also if they don't change the grease enough and it gets dirty the same thing happens. The food gets soaked with grease before it can cook. I don't think they really care about the food being greasy. The son is very 'distant' when you talk to him, and goes to gamble next door all the time. I think they are tired of having the business. It might be time to retire. I don't think the prices are good. When the food is greasy no amount of money makes a difference, I'd rather not eat it even if it was free. I think they charge women higher prices then men. The food is always good. My nan will order the food and the father, and son that run it, always seem to remember her and her order. If they aren't too busy then they'll talk with her for a minute or two which I appreciate. I then walk over to pay and pick up. She always has a good night after having their fish and chips. The shop is too small for many to dine in but they always remember their regulars and give them the respect that's given in turn. So if you like good food at a good price, good people with a good attitude and a nice place to take a break before going home from work then this place would work for you. Very tasty...batter was well seasoned and crispy, and fries were also crispy!

Update....please be aware that the buy one get one halibut is really buy one at $11.95 (includes fish and chips) and you get one extra piece of fish for $6.95...no extra chips, so not a full second meal.

Also, beware they charge an extra .45 cents for using debit, even if you're paying for over $15 worth of food.

And, the last thing which was the most uncomfortable thing they automatically set the tip amount to 10%, for takeout, and if you're unaware, you get ding with this charge too. See receipt.
