The almighty Chick-fil-A is a fast food restaurant I have heard a great deal about it for years and years. Finally, thanks to a recently opened location in Oshawa Ontario, I am getting an opportunity to try Chick-fil-A.
The hype for Chick-fil-A was real. I had never seen so many cars lined up to go through a fast food locations drive-thru in my entire life. What could be so crazy about a fried chicken fast food joint that everybody was lining up for who knows how long just to get a taste?
Parking my car and going into the main entrance seem to be the quickest way to get a meal. When I went inside the lineup just to get food to dine in was quite small.
I was greeted by Jasmine who was taking my order today. I ordered the spicy deluxe meal which came with the spicy deluxe chicken sandwich, waffle fries, and I opted for a vanilla milkshake. I was asked if I would like to try a sauce to which I replied "Yes". I chose the Chick-fil-A sauce. I was informed by my attendant that I was able to have multiple sauces because they were free. It was then that my attendant decided to let me have all of the sauces and I was not saying no to that offer.
I paid for my order and was told that my food would be brought out to me. Within 10 minutes the food arrived.
I started with the waffle fries so I could sample some of those sauces that I was given. The waffle fries were nicely cooked, salted well, and tasted great when dipped in the Chick-fil-A sauce.
I then started eating my spicy deluxe chicken sandwich. The sandwich itself was well.... To be honest, I've had better. There was nothing wrong with the sandwich. It's just that it didn't wow me.
My vanilla milkshake wasn't knock out. I love the fact that it came with a cherry on top. It was delicious and I would return again to have some of the other milkshake varieties.
Chick-fil-A was a fine dining experience. I was very impressed by the service that I got there and the food was good enough that I would return...
Read moreOshawa's long-awaited Chick-fil-A has exceeded expectations! Nestled conveniently near the upcoming Farm Boy grocery store and just across from Starbucks, this classic has found a perfect spot in the community.
Being an Atlanta native, I understand the significance of having a Chick-Fil-A nearby, a symbol of structure, tradition, and community. On opening day, the drive-thru and lobby were bustling with eager patrons sharing their past CFA experiences. The welcoming staff, offering a paper menu and warm chocolate chip cookie samples, set the tone for the fantastic experience.
As I ventured through the lively line, I marveled at the familiar menu, a testament to tradition done right. Despite a minor hiccup in my mobile order, the blue training staff handled it with patience and expertise.
I opted for the Spicy Deluxe combo with waffle fries and a Cherry Coke, along with spicy chicken tenders and plenty of Polynesian sauce. The food was not just hot and fresh; it was a symphony of perfect textures, juicy and well cooked. It's a relief to see another restaurant upholding the great southern tradition of serving Coke products.
What sets this Chick-fil-A apart is not just the delicious food but the thoughtful touches. The opening day souvenir, a small Chick-fil-A cow mascot, added a charming touch for my daughter.
The restaurant itself had ample seating for the whole family, and the atmosphere was vibrant. The staff went beyond the ordinary, delivering orders to tables and making the waiting experience enjoyable. No more name shouting and waiting for responses, just top-notch service.
Kudos to the staff, training team, and management for creating a smooth, pleasant, and downright enjoyable Chick-fil-A...
Read moreThis location opened a few months back, and at first, lineups snaked out onto the roadway. I waited until today to check it out. I ordered a spicy sandwich combo (including waffle fries, more on that in a sec) with a Coke Zero and a five piece order of grilled nuggets.
There was one car head of me, so, ordering at the drive-thru went quickly and smoothly. There was about a 10 minute wait once my order was placed which I found odd, I thought it might have been because of my grilled nuggets.
The order was paid for and brought out to me by a mobile cashier, which, I thought was unique. When my order was brought out, I was off for a parking lot lunch. At this point I realized they forgot my waffle fries, meaning, I had to go inside to claim them.
The food was very good, the chicken sandwich had lost some crispiness steaming in the bag while I got my fries, it was moist, and only the tiniest bit spicy. I thought it needed a sauce as it's only chicken and pickles on a bun, I will remember for next time. The fries were hot, crispy and seasoned perfectly. The grilled nuggets may have been my favourite, although, they were not very photogenic. They were tender, juicy, well seasoned and had a nice grilled flavour.
Overall I was impressed by the food, I thought the ordering method was fun and unique, and if I hadn't been missing an item, it would have been a near...
