Thai Express — Restaurant in Oshawa

This is by far the worst experience we’ve had at a Thai Express. The customer service is awful. Today we went in and ordered two stir fry meals. The lady helping us recommended I get the tamarind chili stir fry, which I agreed to try. After smelling it and taking one bite I was disgusted. It smelled off, like it had gone bad. We took the meal back to the same lady and politely asked if I could have a different stir fry. She responded by saying “You don’t like the tamarind? Well I like it”. And they refused to give me a replacement. They said I would have to buy a whole new meal. This is the worst customer service I have ever seen. It is important to offer some sort of resolution to the customer. This place did not do that, instead, the manager came over and told me “I should have known what tamarind tastes like”.

Avoid this location at all costs. They don’t have good customer service, they will just reply to your complaint with a generic message asking you to fill out a form. The Thai Express on Garden in Whitby is much better and the food...

Absolutely disgusting. I can't believe this Thai Express is still in business. I ordered the General Thai Chicken and spring rolls—big mistake. The chicken was drenched in a sickly-sweet sauce that tasted like corn syrup and chemicals, and the spring rolls were soggy and greasy, like they'd been sitting under a heat lamp all day. Nothing was fresh. Nothing had flavor. Everything was either mushy or rock hard.

The place itself? Filthy. I saw flies buzzing around the counter, and the drink station was covered in spills and crumbs. The guy at the counter barely looked up when I came in, acted like taking my order was a chore, and then disappeared for ten minutes while I stood there waiting. I had an excellent meal at Thai Express! The food was quick, fresh, and flavorful – exactly what you want from a fast-casual Thai spot. I ordered the Pad Thai, and it was perfectly balanced with the right amount of spice, sweetness, and tang. The portion size was generous, and I loved that they offered a variety of proteins to choose from. My friend had the Green Curry, and she couldn’t stop raving about how rich and aromatic it was.

The service was friendly and efficient, and the restaurant itself has a clean, modern vibe. I also appreciated how customizable the dishes were, allowing me to adjust spice levels to my liking.
