Typically I don't go out for dinner but my parents wanted to take me to this Wildfire Steakhouse and it was in town so I thought I'd try it. It was fantastic! A nice lady greeted me at the front, had my water filled as soon as it hit the halfway mark, asked for a filet mignon 10 oz cooked medium (pinkish)it was so thick it was incredible that the chef cooked this thick steak perfectly, had a pillow for lumbar support on the bench seat (lol but great), the food smells so good I forgot to take a pic until halfway through, garlic mashed potato was very good, vegetables was the only thing they needed to work on I really like good fresh vegetables, even when I asked to go to the bathroom she just didn't point me to somewhere in the bar she showed me the way over to where the bathroom actually is and it was very clean. I would give it a 4.5 for the mid grade vegetables but there is no half stars and 5 because the most interesting and most professional thing that I observed which I hadn't noticed servers doing at any other restaurant was that it looked like when the food is ready to come out all the waiters help each other - only when the foods coming out they all bring the food out at once so everybody gets served and nobody's left sitting there not eating - the plates were really hot it seemed they keep it very warm so that they can serve this all at once and then they all continue off to their their designated tables. It was quite remarkable, things looked like they were flowing very smoothly. Not sure if it was just the competent staff on the night of Dec. 5 th. The atmosphere is very pleasent and I still will not be going out to dinner much but I will return again to this restaurant to have another awesome time. Fantastic team work, well done!

Our first visit to thr Wildfire Steakhouse was memorable. We made a reservation for 7 pm but we got seated earlier. For dinner time they dim the lights to provide a cozy and romantic setting. Our server Jamie was very friendly and patient. She brought us waters right away while we looked at the menu. We ordered 2 Amsterdam blonde lagers to with our dinner. They served the beers in chioled mugs. The beer was smooth and refreshing. My wife ordered the Lamb rack and I ordered the 12 oz ribeye with peppercorn sauce from the Fall prix fixe menu $69 for 3 courses. There's a choice of appetizer and dessert. I got the Dicarlo Italian meatballs and Chocolate black out cake. The Italian meatball dish was served with garlic bread and basil tomato sauce. The garlic bread can be dipped in the tomato sauce. The mains were outstanding. The lamb rack was cooked perfectly and just the right amount of seasoning. The honey roasted potatoes and vegetables were a great compliment to the dish. The 12 oz ribeye was grilled to perfect medium rare and topped with peppercorn sauce. The garlic mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables. The chocolate black out cake was a nice way to celebrate my wife's birthday. The cake was rich and ⁴ Overall the food was great and service was exceptional. The staff came by to take a photo for our special occasion. If you are in the Oshawa area I recommend this steakhouse.

This birthday dinner was the worse $300 of hard earned money I've ever spent. I wonder if things have changed since all those good reviews. Maybe a bad night? It didn't seem extremely busy. To start, the naan bread that came with the spinach dip was hard and looked burnt and tasted like it's been sitting out since lunchtime. We were told that they were deep fried. The calamari was just okay, like from a take out fish and chips shop. My son had an 18 oz steak that was burgundy on the inside. We were told that they were cooked at medium rare but in my experience at different steak restaurants and my own experience reverse searing my own ribeyes with 2 thermometers (115F from the oven and finishing with a sear to about 125F and rest to just over 130F), I've never seen this colour. The waitress said that they'll cook it more. Maybe a little less parts were crimson after. Taste was nothing special, there was more fat and chewy parts than I'd expect and didn't notice any of the cap on my own steak. My wife's cod was very small and dry. On top of that, service was slow. We were there for almost 2 hours, half of which was waiting time it seemed. Next steak will be at the always consistent Keg Mansion. I took a picture of the left overs. Good thing my dog likes raw meat. Sorry for the scathing words but it was upsetting the more I thought about the experience.

Made reservations for 7:30pm for three people to celebrate a birthday. Upon entry, the staff realized that they had put us at a table for two instead of three. I should have taken that as a sign of things to come.

We waited 25 minutes for our waiter to take the drink order (2 cocktails and water), which he immediately forgot. He came back 5 minutes later to get our order again. We waited about 10 more minutes for the drinks to arrive.

After receiving our drinks, we ordered 3 appetizers (spinach dip, coconut shrimp, and smokey crab mushrooms), and 3 mains. The appetizers came out fairly quickly after ordering but 55 minutes into our seating time.

The appetizers were ok and brought out by random staff (not our server). The shrimp was overcooked, but edible. The mushrooms were heavy on the cream cheese, light on the crab. The plate the mushrooms were on was so incredibly hot that upon touching it, I burned my finger (blistered today). We were not warned that the plates were scalding. The spinach dip was VERY thick - almost like a whipped brick of cream cheese. Not bad, but not good.

At this point, we contemplated paying for the apps/cocktails and calling it a night. Service was so incredibly slow that we were no longer enjoying the evening. No one checked up on us to see if we wanted another drink, so we sat at the table nursing a carafe of water. They were quick to clear our finished plates and dirty cutlery, which was nice.

We received our mains at 9:10pm. At this time, our server finally asked if we wanted another cocktail and said he would give us a few minutes to see how the food is. Please note: we had not seen or heard from him since the initial ordering of food, and he never returned to see how the food was.

The food was not good. No one enjoyed their meal, but I will speak to my experience since I did not taste anyone else's food. I ordered the lobster dinner. I was served two rock lobster tails with garlic mashed potatoes and some vegetables. The potatoes were good, the vegetables were oily. The lobster tails were extremely overcooked. I was not provided with appropriate cutlery, and had to SAW my way through the lobster tails with a table knife. The second lobster tail was so inedible that I had to leave it, mostly uneaten, on the plate.

After 'finishing' our meal, the waiter re-appeared and offered a dessert menu. We declined and he promptly dropped off the bill and charge machine (even though we were paying cash). He did not come back to collect the bill or offer change. A random bus boy said good night to us which was the nicest thing we heard all night.

tl;dr: Slow service and overcooked food at an overpriced restaurant....

After some time and citing my experience with friends and family the frustration of my experience has pushed me to write a review of my experience.

The restaurant atmosphere and decor felt adequate for a steakhouse. It was pretty much what I expected from the view from outside driving by, always mentioning to my wife that we need to try this place out. My disappointment is not in the establishment nor the quality of the food. In todays economy, with everyone and everything feeling the pressures of inflation we can all expect changes. What I do not agree with and stand firm on is quality, quantity and of course service.

When I order escargot that is served on a dish with 6 serving portions, I expect all 6 portions to be present. I had a chuckle with my wife about this and gently brought this to our waitress' attention. I was told that because it is baked in oil, the oil gets very hot and at times the escargot can pop out and that she had mentioned this to the kitchen. I've never heard of this, although I usually have my escargot prepared differently than just in oil with slight seasoning.

I casually excepted the logic/excuse as I will never complain about food in a restaurant, especially before i've eaten it. I decided to leave this for the moment to see how this would play out. Throughout our dinner experience there was no food compensation, no manager visit, not even a drink comp. When it was time for our bill, of course in keeping consistent, there was no discount or comp on the bill either.

It is clear, this restaurant does not consider this an issue even if the "kitchen was informed" but I can tell you this. One escargot, missing from a dish, six times, is a paid dish back to the business. Now, imagine where else they use similar practice.

As a consumer, If I choose to spend my money on any costly inflated product, I expect to receive the whole product and nothing less. Not some illogical excuse without any customer service as to why it isn't complete. It is because of one little missing escargot that was not taken into consideration when served that I will never return to this restaurant, continue bringing up my experience amongst my peers and new, and never...

This was, by far, the worst way to throw $250 down the drain. This was our second attempt with Wildfire, and it'll most certainly be our last.

We had a reservation for four for a birthday celebration, for 6pm. The server was prompt, but clearly flustered and rushed as it was a busy evening.

Our appetizers took more than a half hour to arrive, and one was forgotten.

The coconut shrimp were deep fried too long, so were nearly burnt. The calamari was cold and overcooked. The garlic bread is literally a few triangles of cold bread with SHREDDED CHEESE half melted on top.

We ordered drinks (good lord, those holiday drinks are $17 a pop!), and they were actually really good!

Our meals were a complete disaster, with the exception of one -- the seared tuna was ok.

We ordered 3 steak dinners, all three were overcooked (we requested medium rare, and they were well done) and cold.

The vegetables (which consisted of one small piece of cauliflower, and what looked like green beans?) were a strange browned colour, cold and wilted.

These meals took 45 minutes to arrive, too!

We gently told the server this wasn't acceptable, and while he was apologetic, and the manager came to speak to us, there was obviously nothing they felt they could do about it.

We ordered 2 desserts to share between the four of us, and the server brought 2 extras (the vegan chocolate dessert. . . skip it!) as a comp. We didn't want them, didn't need them, and honestly, after waiting ANOTHER half hour for those to land on the table, we really just wanted to go home.

Two of us didn't even eat our meals, they were that bad. We considered bringing the steak home for the dog, but left it behind.

In the end, one steak (not the most expensive one) was comped, as were the two unwanted desserts.

I tipped well all the same, but this was a gutting way to waste this much money.

It's honestly shocking that this was the quality of the food at a place with the audacity to charge...
