This is my first experience and staff here assumes everyone can eat dosa without coconut chutney as they only provide coconut chutney on special days and apparently today’s day isn’t special and it was customer’s fault they didn’t ask on phone that today coconut chutney wasn’t available. My child only eats dosa with coconut chutney as mostly all restaurants make peanut or garlic chutney spicy but today he had to eat dry dosa which tasted worst. In my entire life I haven’t eaten dosa without coconut chutney and no restaurant is ever short of this.
I have been committed of getting a satisfactory discount when I will be ordering biryani. Anyhow I will never be ordering dosa from here again. The experience would have been a lot different if I was told they don’t have coconut chutney. Pls don’t assume everyone eats dosa without chutney.
Edit - Sep 01 2025
We planned to get biryani and had to spend another 20 minutes to explain the case. My husband spoke to Kartik who mentioned they will only be giving discount on biryani to earn our trust but unwilling to accept their mistake and we shall delete the review. They are now ready to train their staff to mention anyone who orders dosa mention they don’t provide coconut chutney but not accepting that the same should have been mentioned to us.
My husband expected the chutneys provided would be mild, so he thought a child might be able to manage but both chutneys we had a spice level 4.5/5 not suitable for some adults too. We have visited many dosa restaurants in Toronto and till now all provide coconut chutney.
Please train your staff how to accept customers feedback. If a kid is hungry and has to eat dry cheese dosa after paying $13.99 plus tax as rest of the chutney or Sambhar are so spicy then it’s natural for a parent to show their displeasure. Staff told its customers fault why they did not ask.
If I had a similar situation in a decent customer service restaurant they would have accepted feedback of mentioning on call regarding coconut chutney in future and apologized for the inconvenience caused to the kid. Also would have offered some discount for future visits.
As a customer we aren’t telling you why your recipe is spicy or why you don’t provide this. Our concern was why it isn’t mentioned on the website. By opening at a new location you are inviting new customers but treating them in this manner, unfortunately you have lost us as well as our friends and acquaintances will receive...
Read moreKachiguda Junction Indian Restaurant — had an early dinner here in Oshawa. If you’re familiar with Indian cuisine, this place leans heavily into Andhra-style cooking, known for its mouth-watering spicy dishes and biryanis. We ordered dragon chicken, butter naan with butter chicken, and chicken biryani.
The dragon chicken was classic Andhra spicy — they didn’t even ask about our spice preference, which felt authentic but might be intense for some. The butter chicken and naan were easily the highlight — soft, fresh, creamy, and absolutely delicious. The chicken biryani was decent, but the flavor profile didn’t quite align with our taste — might be a hit-or-miss depending on your preference.
The interiors looked good, but unfortunately there was a strong paint or basement-like smell inside. The air conditioning wasn’t effective, and our table was right next to a garage-style window that didn’t seem well-sealed — probably not ideal in colder months. Not surprisingly, most people were opting for takeout.
The biryani was reasonably priced at $15, while other items were slightly on the higher side — but honestly, the flavors were spot-on for anyone craving real Andhra food like back home. If you can overlook the smell and slightly steep pricing, I’d definitely recommend giving this place a try. Service is a bit slow so you have to...
Read moreNice food. Liked loose prawn but chicken briyani is not that good and they are not serving mirchi ka salan for the briyani. That's my favorite one to go with briyani.
Tried Chicken Bombhat and Fried Rice recently and they are one of best in Durham.

Update July 2022
Took some friends to the place and they all liked the food a lot. Mutton soup, Chettinadu Mutton, and Mutton pilaf are highlights. However, my favorite loose prawns are not that great lately. Getting too much topping and becoming hard.
