Being a Customer Service Manager, presentation is everything and how customers are treated.
I came here the gentlemen in the Restaurant where very friendly and courteous, they took the order and asked us to come back in 10 minutes.
The lady bagging the food, seemed to get overwhelmed when we walked back in as there where a few people in the store. She immediately started to take her frustrations out on the task she was handed (making the burgers and packing them). Throwing napkins into the bag while muttering where all customers could hear. One lady actually left and didn’t bother ordering.
Firstly she yells there’s too many people in the store come back after 10mins to everyone meanwhile it was 15 mins for some like myself who came in🧐 the gentleman is telling everyone to come back in 10 minutes and perhaps as the orders go it should be increased to 15 mins.
As we are all scared about the pandemic there should be proper instructions and procedures visible for your customers.
Place a sign at the doors front and back how many are allowed in the store.
Place a sign showing where to order and the pick up card board box isn’t cutting it.
Add on minutes the busier you get.
I’m said to say after coming from Newmarket I didn’t get to enjoy the meal as I did the first time and wanted to actually ask for my money back. Customer service is everything and to have someone carry on like that to patrons who don’t know bcs you neglected to ensure that there was proper signs up. She ended up making the burger very sloppy and on items that my friend requested light was a large portion instead and she didn’t eat her food and definitely didn’t want to go back in after the attitude from the worse in there.
My first experience was amazing the food was great the milkshake was made perfect this time very runny!
But they do make a...
Read moreBeen here many times, but I have to say this trip was one of the most dysfunctional experiences I've bared witness to. Placed our order and were asked to wait outside 10-15 minutes. Returned inside 15 minutes later only to wait an additional 15 minutes. At this point, our fries were ready. So half an hour to make 3 orders of fries. Burgers still MIA(the were hastily prepared shortly after). During the additional15 minutes we waited inside I saw what could humorously be described as a "full card bingo of incompetence". You had your incorrectly made orders, mixed up orders, and also watched as they tried giving our drinks away to a random Uber driver. 4 employees all staring at one food ticket and not knowing where the food went. I counted 6 maybe 7 employees, and not a single semblance of communication between them. Eventually the owner had to bark orders to get anything moving.
So a frustrating start, but at least the food is always good right?
I wish i could say after all this that the food saved my experience, but it did not. Fries were barely cooked, and my burger was a chore to eat. It felt like I was chewing wet cardboard. Tasteless. Perhaps the efforts of the staff can be attributed to having a bad day, new hires, etc but declining food quality cannot be dismissed as easily.
As an aside, this ordeal set us back a little bit with some deliveries we were doing, and as we made our final delivery made mention of being held up for a while at the establishment. The lady then mentioned her own experience there, and how she had not been back in 6 months since. This was a life long whitby resident who once...
Read moreAfter reviewing prices, my son and I went in to try out the burgers. The charbroiled smell in the air as you drive into the parking lot definitely gets any meat-eater hungry! The staff seem friendly enough. My biggest issue would have to be the overall food quality. Now, I am not a certified burger aficionado, but I've been to places where dropping $20 or more on a burger is entirely possible. So I'll do my best to say this respectfully: it seems as though the spice selections for Starr burger have not evolved with the times, and although the burger was cooked well and the meal was filling, I can't really recommend their cheeseburger. With that said: their bacon poutine was great -- and it was big enough that a 250 pound man could order it and eat it as a meal all by itself! Another disappointment was the chocolate milkshake. Aside from the large only coming in the 3rd-smallest cup they had behind the counter, the malt taste greatly overpowered the chocolate taste so I was not really enjoying the chocolate shake. The food looks amazing, and it is filling, but aside from the bacon poutine being a home run I'd have to say that the rest of the food was a miss as far as my taste buds go. I'd love to try some updated flavors that Starr Burger could likely cook up if they put the effort in, but for $60 or more for 2 people to eat, at this point I'd save that kind of cash for somewhere else. I would definitely come back for the bacon...
