I'd like to leave a 5 star review, but I need to keep this honest because I am a consumer but I love small businesses. A few things I'd love to help these new owners with Get a baker who can bake ALL types of bread. Ciabatta bread etc. Pretzels. Sourdough . All kinds. DONT FOCUS ON DESSERT. Your dessert is terrible. The bread is fabulous. A bakery should focus on what they are GOOD at. The desserts we bought were just terrible. The taste was lemon on everything. They were falling apart and old. That will scare away all your client's. Or potentially new ones. Or focus on desserts you are good at. And do not buy them and sell .. make them yourself. USE your coffee machine. Offer a coffee and a muffin (if you ca bake muffins) for a deal. Bring in some new morning client's.. put a big sign on the street promoting your coffee and muffin or other morning food deal. Hire an online promotional company to help you. With influencers, which I am an influencer BTW any more tips, send me a message. That's...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been coming to this place for years to get the Portuguese tarts and have always loved it ā¦however I have been noticing a decrease in the quality lately and today I had a very bad experienceā¦usually when someone enters this place they are warmly greeted by staff but today no body's came out until I started making noise, nothing was in stock and the bakery display was in the worst condition I have ever seen it with cookies broken and scattered all over, flies in the case and just stuff all over the place. When I did decide to just my tarts they were rudely thrown into the bag by the young man behind the counter.. when I ate them they tasted old and gross and as if they had used vegetable shortening in them instead of butter⦠I seriously hope the new owners can find some better staff to run this place with integrity as it means a lot to the community and seeing it go would be a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLiving in Oshawa for a while now and having a sweet tooth Iām always interested in what bakeries have to offer. Today, I decided to venture into the Taunton Bakery. First glance, I thought its small but to the point, cookies, pasta, bread, pastries etc.. Exactly what youād want to see in bakery.
I purchased chocolate eclairs and two cookies. They appeared to be fresh and delicious so by that alone I bought them and took it home. Unfortunately, the chocolate Eclairs were dry, very little cream inside the chocolate was not tasty - but stale. We were disappointed and it wasnāt worth what I paid for. On the other hand - The cookies, my kid loved them. They were neat looking. One was a heart shaped and the other shark shaped.
I would suggest to the owners to let your customers know that the pastries are not fresh, so we can take a step back and think twice.
Thanks!...
