Amazing food! Terrible service!
This has been one of my go to bars in Oshawa as the prices are very reasonable and the food is great. However, the past few times I've been there, the service has been horrible. Overall the service is incredibly slow. I understand the restaurant is usually busy but maybe having more servers or bartenders would help.
Tonight, my husband and I went for beer and wings. Our server was great, attentive and very polite. However we had issues with the bartender and getting drinks. I ordered a Stella and waited about 15 minutes (after my husband's iced tea came out), and our server asked if anyone came by to bring out my Stella. It turns out, my beer was poured and ready for pick up at the bar but someone stole it... The bartender then refused to pour another Stella for me without charging for another one. After another 10-15 minutes, I was asked to pick another drink (something other than Stella as the bartender refused to pour another one). I picked a Sangria. Our food came out, and I was still waiting on the drink. After another 10 minutes of eating, it felt very awkward, so we asked for the bill and left. I never got my drink but I appreciate our server's politeness and honesty.
This incident was paid for by a gift card that we received from the restaurant due to poor service my husband and I received last time we visited.
Last time - Essentially we were sat at a table, no servers came to even take our drink order for about 30 minutes. We both were stressed waiting as we noticed other tables coming in after us got their drink order taken and got waters/drinks. We werent sure if we were missed by accident so I asked the hostess. We were missed by both servers in the section. We eventually ordered and the drinks took a long time to come out. We were waiting for almost an hour before anything came to our table. Before anything came to our table we asked the hostess and server to cancel our order because we both feel really awkward, anxious and uncomfortable. Almost like we did something wrong just by sitting at the table. The manager talked us into staying and gave us a gift card for the poor service. The food was great.
We gave it another good try, and the food is great but unless you're happy with waiting an hour or being refused a certain beer because of an incident you had no control over, then I will not...
Read moreI ordered butter chicken for pick-up on Friday, February 28th, around 6:30 PM. I had my brother pick it up, and when he brought it home, I found a hair clearly visible in the rice. It was really frustrating, especially since I ordered the food for my young daughter, and the delay messed with her dinner and bedtime. Since my brother couldn’t go back, I had to head out in a snowstorm to return the food. When I got there, the staff wouldn’t check the food in front of me and insisted on taking it to the back, which was weird. After waiting 40 minutes for them to remake the food, there wasn’t even a simple apology or any effort to make things right. I wasn’t happy with how everything was handled, so I called today to speak with a manager to see if I could order an item and get it discounted. I explained the situation and asked if I could get a discount or some kind of compensation. The person who answered the phone said he was the “floor manager” and that he remembered my situation, but he didn’t offer any solution. When I asked why he couldn’t offer a discount, he refused to explain and just kept asking for my phone number, saying another manager would call me back. It felt like he was just stalling and trying to get rid of me. I asked him how he’d feel if he got food with hair in it and was treated like this, he didn’t have anything to say. The whole phone call he was rude, argumentative and even hung up when I asked to speak to someone else and for his name. I’m just really disappointed and disgusted with how these people are running a restaurant & business. They literally lack all traits and skills required to run proper establishments, the bad reviews are proof. I’m genuinely convinced they bought their “good” reviews. The lowest reviews will show you nothing but RAW, HAIRY, MOLDY, FOOD PICS AND RUDE UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCES. Read moreAugust 10 2025 Id like to start by saying the server was phenomenal and none of this is a reflection of her service but that is where the good ends. I had ordered a bison burger with a few of the toppings removed and the burger I received was wrong and not even a bison burger at that(beef smash burger) I saw the manager and flagged him over, completely disgraceful as he started questioning me when I told him politely the plate was wrong, not at all impressed with this guy as he didn’t seem to care at all which is unacceptable in the service industry. He took it and a few minutes later another plate was brought out. Again still a smash burger and not what I had ordered, my server saw and immediately came over to take care of it, kudos to her for that. At this point the rest of my party was finishing up their meal while I was still waiting for mine. Eventually a third plate was brought out by my lovely server and again it was still a smash burger and not the bison burger I had ordered, she assured me due to the errors on their end the burger would be comp’d so for the sake of time I decided to just eat it. When the bill arrived I noticed I was still charged for the burger less 20% (a whole $3) as their version of “comp”. Extremely let down and will not be returning as this was an abysmal experience. Couldn’t ask for a better server she did everything she could to make things right so credit where credit is due but the rest was just so bad it’s not...
