Kajun Chicken & Seafood — Restaurant in Oshawa

Customer service was excellent. I like the staff friendliness and the way they try their best to accommodate (my third time eating in). A friend recommended it to me a couple weeks ago and it’s good (I’ve come back several times so there’s that). I’ve tried the chicken burger, chicken and biscuits. My critiques however are: the spicy sandwich and chicken are mild with a bit of black pepper at best (not bad but not spicy at all) and although their hot sauce makes up for it (the hot sauce is really good) if you want spicy chicken, this is not it (anybody with a stronger tongue for seasoning and spice might find it a bit bland to be honest). Their dine-in might need a touch up to be a lil bit more comfortable but given the size of the store it’s understandable. Lastly, you should remember to leave instructions to add hot sauce when you order online (uber eats and the likes) because when I didn’t, it didn’t come with any condiments (I thought it came along with it like everywhere else). Overall the place is nice, food is excellent for the price and I’m a regular now (if you want to give it a try check out their specials Monday...

Very disappointed by the service. We ordered 45 mins ahead to pickup our order. Just arrived and the guy said he forgot about my order and gave my chicken I ordered to somone else. What?!? He asked if I could wait another 20 mins... HORRIBLE! I drove quite a distance to purchase and we were looking forward to it but this totally ruined my experience. For those with kids, you understand the struggle of family excited for the meal but it's so frustrating knowing ur order wasn't even ready after giving them 45 mins heads up. Very disappointing.

This is the second time I've ordered ahead of time and when I arrived they asked me to wait another 10-15 mins at least. If ppl order well ahead of time (20-30 mins early) , it needs to be ready by the time customer arrives. Forgetting orders or having thing unprepared is a very bad look and shows very bad time management and incompetence.

I asked for a discount for wasting 20 mins of my time and he said it's not possible. Extremely unsatisfied...

Tried out Kajun Chicken & Seafood on Saturday. This location is pretty much for takeout only. Getting in and out of here is a bit of an issue. There is parking behind the restaurant. The food is very comparable to Popeye's. My wife had the Jalapeno Shrimp, my son had the Fish Tenders and I had the 3 piece chicken meal. The food was well cooked and was ready quickly. It was very tasty. But the best part was the service. The ladies at the front were very friendly and seemed to enjoy answering my questions. They let my son and I try the biscuits (very fresh and drizzled with honey). As well they gave me a couple of extra pieces of chicken so I could try the spicy chicken (not too spicy) because I usually have the mild. Overall, excellent experience! I will be back to try the chicken sandwiches for sure! If you're looking for an alternative to Popeye's, give Kajun...
