I was quite excited about this restaurant opening up on the neighbourhood area being South Indian and get to try authentic food. Usually I enjoyed their egg puffs and have tried ghee rice and chicken never had any issues. Last night invited some guests over and served them parotta / nadan chicken and chicken roast. It tasted perfectly fine. Woke up with diarrhea , only to find out all my guests have same issues. It’s so disappointing and scary how can they be so careless offering such spoilt food , glad we didn’t feed them to our children . My son had mild symptoms this evening after returning from school , looks like he ate small portion of it after asking him if he had eaten that chicken from last night. One of my guest called the restaurant and raised the concern and the person on other end saying that it could be due to microwave and advised he also had similar symptoms using microwave. What kind of chemical they are mixing on the food to change poisonous upon heating if that is the case? I really feel bad writing this review. I don’t meant to spoil your business especially during this pandemic time when every small business going through difficult times. But it’s the basic ethic you are missing out of any restaurant. I also read few other reviews similar to us- so this is not the first time and you had an opportunity to listen to your customers and fix the problem . I am not returning back ever even though I enjoyed my few other visits . It’s quite scary to be honest when your days of busy work meetings get spoilt because of your food which I choose to buy. It’s hit or miss type. I am not asking the readers to stop buying from this restaurant - I hope they will improve , just wanted to vent out my thoughts after a...
Read moreDuring my recent visit to Vazhiyoram restaurant, I had the pleasure of trying their idiyappam and beef fry, a combination that beautifully marries soft, delicate strings of rice noodles with robust, flavorful beef.
The idiyappam, also known as string hoppers, were impeccably prepared. They were light, fluffy, and perfectly steamed, maintaining their integrity without becoming mushy. The texture was just right, providing a gentle, almost cloud-like base that paired wonderfully with the beef fry.
It was a masterclass in balancing spices—rich, aromatic, and deeply satisfying. The beef was tender, cooked to perfection with a slightly crispy exterior that added a delightful crunch. Each bite was an explosion of flavors, with the spices melding together seamlessly to create a dish that was both comforting and exciting.
Together, the idiyappam and beef fry created a harmonious balance, with the mildness of the idiyappam perfectly offsetting the intensity of the beef fry. It’s a combination that showcases the culinary expertise of Vazhiyoram, making it a must-try for anyone visiting the restaurant.
Overall, the meal was an exquisite experience of traditional flavors and impeccable execution. Vazhiyoram has certainly set a high bar with their idiyappam and beef fry, making it a standout dish that I would...
Read moreThis restaurant really need a management who care about the quality and quantity of food they serving and how they can satisfy the customers considering the factor that customers are gonna come back only if they get good service. Every single time worst experience.
First owner never cared to talk to customers and the quantity and quality of food they serve become worst day by day.
New ownership give a new look to the place with new friendly staff but again the quality and quantity they never cared I guess.
Bought "Pazhampori" and some other snacks for a function recently and I dont understand how they managed to cut the banana into such small pieces without cutting their hand. You could literally see through the pazhampori. It was just the batter and very thin slice of banana and the price was above $1.30.
Again bought a large chicken roast on Feb 25, which cost me around $19.20 including the tax and hardly got 4 small pieces of chicken which was tasteless and tasted like a day old. Not forgetting to mention the fact that they care about giving a lot of gravy.
Management need to understand that they get customers only if they serve good food and good quantity for what...
