A&W Canada — Restaurant in Osoyoos

I like the restaurant but there is one thing that irks me, the hygiene of the staff preparing the food. I realize they don't wear gloves when preparing food, and I look it up on A&W website and the website says their crew don't wear gloves due to frequent hand-washing policy, but in contrast to what I saw is that crew who made my food had been doing inventory around the restaurant carrying cases and boxes around, touching multiple non food items already, and walked into the kitchen, scratched their head, then wiped their hands on their bums, and continued on taking the buns out from bags and flipping patties and touching the burgers...... I have reflected this on the web form but have not had any response yet. It disgusted me when I saw how my food was made... and then dished out to me... reflected it in person but they shrugged it off

This is not a very polished review because it is how it was and what I saw, the entire process, right from the window where they dish out the food to the crew taking orders at the counters.

We are from Alberta and decided to stop on our vacation to get some A & W for lunch. We ordered and got our food and everything was okay, we asked to get the big cold mugs for our rootbeer. We were outside eating our meals with our rootbeer mugs, then a lady that works there comes out to us and literally grabs our drinks and starts pouring them into to go cups. We were wondering why? And then she continues with "you aren't allowed to have these cups outside" in a very rude tone. We proceeded to ask her if we were still able to get a refill with the rootbeer (as we were told ordering our food that with the mugs we would be allowed refills), she then says to us "well I don't know if you will be able to now, but I guess I could give you guys one but don't ask my manager or she won't let you guys". When we went inside to get our refills she was very rude. Overall the customer service was NOT good and we will not be wanting to come back to this restaurant again. Next time we'll go to McDonald's or...

Stopped in Osoyoos A & W this morning for breakfast. The young woman that took my order was very pleasant and helpful. When our breakfast came the sausages were cold and I mean “COLD”, the eggs were undercooked. I took my plate up to the counter and showed it to the young woman who apologized for it. I asked her to even feel the sausage so she could see for herself that it was COLD. The second order we had had one sausage link that was not cooked and left on the plate. The breakfast was replaced but I really don’t want to become ill because someone had not cooked the sausages and eggs correctly. My husband went into the men’s washroom and there was no soap in the soap dispenser. He advised the young woman. We used to stop at this restaurant when we went through Osoyoss but the last couple of times we have gone there it was not great but nothing like this. Needless to say we will not be going back there. I hope someone wil see this review and make...
