I was at ameenz yesterday for the first time driven by the shares and stories on social media to see what the hype is all about , situated in a strip mall right across Costco merivale , Hassan the owner welcomed me . Quickly getting to pros and cons my usual style You feel very welcome as a customer , you feel accommodated and taken care for The Turkish coffee blend - home ground and brewed on hot sand , Hassan himself is a coffee connoisseur , and shares hi knowledge on beans on sale and how to brew them , I got myself half a pound of his home blend ground and am enjoying it every day
The nougats and delicacies : neatly arranged and on display most of them imported from Lebanon , Hassan has some of his own home made desserts like the diet baklava and dark chocolate coated baklava on display . Available in gift boxes if 2 sizes or individual purchase

He likes them so much so that he decided to give little sweet bags of his favorites to his friends for the end of the school year (in the picture). As for me in addition to the chocolates, Raha and nougat, I really enjoyed the arabic coffee mix. Iam also addicted to the palestinian dates. They are so big and juicy unlike the ones you would get from a container. Lots and lots of different things to choose from (homemade chocolates, pistachio/chocolate-covered cookies, nuts, nougat, Turkish delight, fresh-ground coffee, and even a gelato counter!). The service was excellent from beginning to end. I was invited to sample any of the chocolates along the wall, which I did, and the one I chose was lovely - a great first impression.
