Wow - this place is a gem. The two guys working were very nice, which is always a huge plus for me to come back. I ordered the pogo combo but with the small poutine upgrade. It was about $11 in total. *Pogo: Pogo Brand, delicious, perfectly crispy, so not overly done or soggy. Each bite remained crispy so you know it was just perfectly cooked. *Small poutine: comes in a styrofoam cup, crispy fries, great portion or curds (curds still left in the bottom when I ran out of fries!), gravy was tasty, thick, and a medium colour. Perfect portion for one or a snack to share. *Drink: YES, they have Mountain Dew (thumbs up!!!) - in 355ml cans *Location: near the Lowes & McDonald’s on Innes, lots of parking, easy access from both East & West Innes. Also, about 4 big picnic tables with a cover tent for summer eating. (It was too cold for me to enjoy today on this Cold & Windy April Afternoon!) *CASH ONLY* Go here instead of the McDonald’s next door, it’s well worth it, and the food is so tasty!

You can only see the top of the fries of the small fries I ordered but they packed and overflowed it so they had to put it into another bag. The fries were crisp, moist and wonderful and such a good value. I tried the fries at innes fries on the other side of the road and they can't hold a candle next to the campfire this is. Amazing. Definitely coming back to this place.

When the owner asks if you're sure you want a large, believe me he truly means large plus some. Huge portion for a great price! Fries are golden and crispy on the outside, and soft and fluffy on the inside. Yummy snack if you're in the area. Cash only.

We were in the area and this place had a pretty good review so we gave it a try. The ratings definitely did not lie! The fries were fantastic! I have to say perfectly cooked (maybe just that extra minute or two they took on the second fry). The fries were very crispy on the outside with super soft inside. As for the poutine, the gravy was tasty, beefy and not to salty. Topped with good curds the poutine was amazing and would say one of the best/better I’ve had. Not sure if this was intentional but one thing I was impressed with was how they packed the fries vertically on the round styrofoam container which gave more fries and held less gravy (a good thing). I'll be completely honest and say I have another chip truck I prefer for poutine, but I keep coming back to Alex's for regular fries. I'm usually a poutine guy, and they do have a solid one - but their fries with plain salt (and sometimes vinegar) are phenomenal.
