Amaya Express — Restaurant in Ottawa

Guys don’t even get food here everything is frozen , nothing is fresh .

If there is Negative rating I willl give higest negative for this restaurant .

We orderd samosas and chat and garlic naan and butter naan with panner butter masala .

The nans are not the typical Nan’s you get in a restaurant, they look like Costco frozen Naan.

Worst food I’ve ever had in canada in last 2 years.

When we went back and asked for the nann and samsoa were frozen not made fresh they were like it comes frozen and we heat it when someone orders, if it’s for selling frozen food we can purchase everything ourself for way less price and eat.

If they don’t want to cheat they can always metion before purchasing everything is frozen comes from franchise we just reheat no one would even waste there time and energy to even order food here.

Instead they just say this is how we run business, Sorry to say this I would strongly suggest anyone not even thinking to go there if you want to have fresh food there are lot more other options, but...

Ordered a lamb curry and onion bhaji.

Not impressed, allow me to respectfully explain why.

curry contained separately from the rice onion bhaji was not fried in advance, resulting in a 15 minute wait after paying masala gravy was too runny and contained no smoothness a masala gravy should the onion Bhaji was literally 4 tiny clumps of wet tasteless oil with no crunch or sense of flavour waited 10 minutes for the cashier to notice me after she got off her phone … and I was the only customer in line. At least she was friendly. Meat was really good. That’s the only highlight.

And if that wasn’t strange enough, I had to pay $30. What a rip off when it comes to the money.

This branch of Amaya express has LOTS of work to do to improve. The folks at the Rideau Centre and Kanata locations will serve...

I had an absolutely awful experience at this place I ordered poutine and to my horror, I found a hair in my food. I politely brought it to the staff’s attention Rather than addressing the issue professionally, the staff started comparing prices, as if the cost of the meal justified serving unsanitary food! To make things worse I noticed that none of the employees were wearing hair nets, which is completely unacceptable in a food establishment. This raises serious concerns about their hygiene and food safety standards. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone unless you enjoy questionable hygiene and being treated poorly. Save your money and go somewhere that actually respects...
