Kim Chi - Korean Delight — Restaurant in Ottawa

Used to come to this place all the time when I was at the mall, and the food was always very good. Lately I’ve noticed the quality of the food has been so much worse than it used to be. I always see new staff there & it seems they just hire anyone at this establishment because I do not think some of these people should be serving food. I decided to go for lunch today (against my better judgement) and got the same thing I always get, the beef soup. When I went to eat I noticed the meat looked a bit off. I’m used to seeing all the inedible fatty pieces and usually just pull them off with my hands, but there were some other white fatty pieces I hadn’t noticed before. I went to touch the meat to remove some of the fat and it was freezing cold. I don’t even know how this is possible, it’s as if they just took the meat straight out of the freezer and put it in the soup. It turned me way off and I totally lost my appetite. So was contemplating what to rate this place but settled on 1*.

So firstly I ordered an aquafina water bottle for 2.75 and paid. Then realized it was "Naya" water I got. I later went searching to see if there was a Dollarama in the store and sure enough there was (which had aquafina for 1.5$ and Naya for 0.5$). Anyways so immediately disappointed but didn't want to make a scene so just accepted it.

Then secondly, we ordered a good amount of food and Kalbi mix was almost all rice. Also the bulgogi rice (12$) was hardly anything and the bulgogi was burnt.

Not that it necessarily matters but no Koreans working here? Anyways... Overall I would have rated it a 3* but paying the water bottle knocked off 2*. Not sure I'd recommend anyone this place. Lots of yummiest and more affordable competitors that...

I was regular here, used to buy once a week few meals. Unfortunately after new management took over food is not even close good as it used to be. Fried rice used to be delicious, not anymore. I would like to know where are the people who run this place before renovation and new management?Did they open somewhere else? Will not buy here again. Update: I tried it again today, but no more. Taste is not even close good as with old owners, box "to go" used to be full but not anymore, same price but you get less food and not as good as it used to be...please someone tell me where are people who used to run this place before? Do they have food shop...
