As a seasoned food critic, I've had the privilege of savoring countless dishes from renowned eateries around the globe. However, none have left as indelible an impression as my recent visit to "Stuffed Pizza." Nestled discreetly in the heart of Ottawa castle heights/Overbrook area, this unassuming gem has transformed my perception of gastronomy. Allow me to paint a vivid picture of the culinary wonderland that is Stuffed Pizza, focusing on their exquisite cheese and mushroom jalapeño burger and the decadent Choco Pizza.
First, let's delve into the symphony of flavors that is the Cheese and Mushroom Jalapeño Burger. At Stuffed Pizza, they've perfected the art of burger craftsmanship. The patty, cooked to an impeccable medium-rare, boasts a succulent blend of Angus beef that practically melts in your mouth. What sets this masterpiece apart, however, is the symphony of toppings. The earthy essence of sautéed mushrooms harmonizes beautifully with the rich, melted cheese, while the jalapeños provide a tantalizing, yet not overpowering, kick of heat. Every bite is a revelation, a crescendo of flavors that leaves you craving for more.
Now, let's venture into dessert territory, where Stuffed Pizza raises the bar to dizzying heights with their Choco Pizza. It's a celestial creation that marries the world of pizza with the sweet indulgence of confectionery. The base, crisp and perfectly baked, provides the ideal canvas for the main event. Layers upon layers of Reese's Cups, KitKat chocolate, and peanut butter cups are meticulously arranged, creating a mosaic of chocolatey goodness. The result? An exquisite balance of textures and flavors that evoke pure bliss with every bite. The Choco Pizza at Stuffed Pizza is nothing short of decadence in its most divine form.
But it's not just the gastronomic symphony that sets Stuffed Pizza apart; it's the meticulous attention to detail, the impeccable service, and the warm, inviting ambiance that envelops diners in an unparalleled dining experience. From the moment you step through the door, you're transported to a culinary paradise where every dish is a work of art, and every bite is a revelation.
In conclusion, Stuffed Pizza isn't just a restaurant; it's a destination for those who seek culinary excellence. Their Cheese and Mushroom Jalapeño Burger and Choco Pizza are testament to their unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of flavor and imagination. Read moreI would rate this 4 1/2, there’s no way I would rate this a 4, it’s much closer to a 5 for sure.
The staff is very nice, I would come back for him alone he made it a very pleasant experience. Sadly, I took it to go, but it was still warm when I got home.
Got the Blooming Onion with no Chipotle Ranch and the Juicy Lucy burger with added crispy onion and mushrooms. The nice person helping us asked if I wanted to sub for Garlic Sauce and I graciously agreed. It’s like the Indian Garlic Sauce, but more reduced and more like garlic, making it a lot easier for me to eat.
The blooming onion is very crispy, but only vaguely resembles an Outback Steakhouse blooming onion. It’s heavier and tastes like it’s going to leave a nasty aftertaste, but does not. The spices are very mild, and it’s not spicy at all, which I would say is a selling point over the aggressiveness of the Outback Steakhouse version.
The burger is both great and terrible. The burger itself is delicious, I absolutely love it. The spices are good and it’s incredibly flavorful. It tastes more like a big patty of gyro meat, and I’m all for it. The onions, lettuce, ketchup, and tomatoes I added all compliment the burger very well, and the mushrooms make it even better. I feel I could have done without the crispy onions, as instead of the onion straws I was expecting they turned out to be battered onion pieces, not similar to the blooming onion but more their own thing.
What I did not like about the burger though, and why it’s not a 5* place to me, was the cheese was more or not there, pics given. Even inside it, there was very little once I opened it, looking to be about one thick slice worth from the deli put in. On the top, there wasn’t even enough to cover the burger. The fries were good in their own right, like very well seasoned steak fries.
I‘d go back for burgers but not for cheese, which is what I...
