Walked in 2 hours before close to order 2 burrito combos. I asked if I could substitute one of the chips and salsa for a fry. I was told no, I understand it must be a store policy. The worker then realizes he has no more chips then says we can do the fries. I ask why we were only given 1 order when I had ordered 2 combos and was told that because fries were more expensive, I could not get 2. Your store should have no problem to drop more tortillas into the fryer to make some chips, of course unless the chips are not made in house. This is unfair as you were not prepared to sell your advertises products, wasting my coupon. Also complaining that you already dropped the fries into the fryer when we were upset at being misled and wanted to order something else that wouldn't make us pay for something we aren't getting doesn't help.
At the end, I ask to also get an order of churros and the worker looks at me and says 'No', confused I ask why and he says that it was too busy and that he does not have the supplies to make them. Again, I'm sure this is just the laziness of the employee because you could order churros both on the website and on Uber.
The cherry on top is how the worker barley understood what I was trying to say and having to repeat myself over 5 times.
Disappointing 2nd experience at this franchise, and most...
Read moreBeen to this location a few times now and the last two weren’t their greatest performance. During the second to last visit, was told halfway through making the burrito that they had run out of a majority of the ingredients for a burrito, so chose to simply cancel my order and walk away since a burrito w cheese, chicken and rice really ain’t a burrito.
Last visit was probably the most unfortunate as a team of 5 people behind the counter got so disorganized people started to walk out of the store and they had to comp chips and drinks for those of us who waited. The line assembly just fell apart when an online customer essentially raised their voice and demanded to be prioritized; after this unfortunate incident, the whole team got disorganized and at one point had 4 people at the register w people still waiting to pass their orders at the other end of the counter.
This location would benefit from more training on line assembly for burritos and overall management. When all ingredients are there though, food is good and on slower days, service can be nice and friendly too….just need a bit more training…and honestly, patience from some customers would also help the business meet expectations…a little bit from everyone...
Read moreI was super excited that bar burrito opened up on Ogilvie. I loooooooooove Mexican, and they had a pretty stellar looking menu. I had it on my list to try out, and finally got a chance to try it out with the fam today.
I went with the fish tacos, the hubs went with a burrito bowl and the kid just got a fry. I found the food to just be OK and there really was no wow factor to it. The tortillas are not made in house, they are the tortillas you find at Costco. For some reason, I was expecting fresh, made in house tortillas, so that was a bummer.
They only had two salsas to choose from, one red the other one pineapple. It would be nice to have more variety , like a pico and a tomatillo salsa. I do like that they had pickled red onions and chopped green peppers.
The fish tacos came with a side of chips and salsa, so it was good value, considering you get three tacos.
Again, this restaurant just opened up, so I want to give the restaurant some grace, but it did take some time to be greeted upon entry. Not only that, never being to a bar burrito before, the ordering system felt disorganized and rushed.
Not sure if I will be back, but it was...
