Thai Express Restaurant Gloucester — Restaurant in Ottawa

I would like to give ZERO star to this Thai Express location if I can! I went there for lunch today with three of my colleagues around 1:25 pm. I have ordered a Beef PAD SEE. When I almost finished my PAD SEE, I found out there was a HAIR inside of the PAD SEE noodle. Since I was almost done, I went to the counter and just wanted to tell them that there was a hair. I didn't want them to replace or what. I just wanted to let them know. So I talked to a guy who is one of the cooks. This guy didn't say any apologies and he said “IT'S YOUR HAIR!” Yes, this was what he said when he saw the HAIR!!! So I told him it was impossible that my hair was inside of the meal and mixed with the noodles! He insisted it's my hair because the two cooks are black hairs. If you go there often, you will know the cashier lady who usually help with preparation is brown/red hair. And this lady was just standing beside this guy. So I told this guy that the lady is brown hair. The guy said:" No. She was not cooking. It's your hair!" He even said:" it's JUST a hair. What do you want?" This is so ridiculous and insulted!! There is no apologies at all and other employees didn't say anything. I have never been a restaurant like this in my life. And They let me learned how they treat their customers and how they look at their customers when there is an issue. I go this location for lunch in the past three years. And I will NEVER go again!!! Don't let the name Thai fool you. There's morning here that is Thai. When I walked into the place and can't small any Thai cooking aroma at all, that's when I should've turned around and walk back out. This place is no different then the Panda Express. I'm the one who never wasted foods, but at this place, I can't eat it. Went to lunch today and ordered the chicken mango and rice, and the basil beef fried rice because I was hungry. My fried rice was totally wet, black, and salty. I don't know what cut of meat they use, but the beef was like chewing on rubber. You would expect them to use quality meat on dish like this, but it's probably the cheapest cut there is. After a few bites, I cannot swallow anymore of this fried rice. The mango chicken was a little better, but pretty much sweet sauce on fried battered chicken. I didn't even finished half of my food and had to throw...

I usually enjoy Thai Express, but today’s experience was really disappointing. I ordered the same dish I’ve had before, but this time it was completely off. The beef was pale and unappetizing, and the broth had no flavor at all — not even a hint of salt. It tasted bland and unfinished.

You can even tell from the pictures — the one I had today looked totally different from what I’ve received before. It didn’t just taste different, it looked like it was made with little care or consistency.

What made it worse was the customer service. The person who took my order didn’t greet me or say thank you. When he handed me the food, he turned his back with a serious, almost rude expression — no acknowledgment whatsoever. It felt like he was annoyed or just didn’t want to be there.
