Booster Juice — Restaurant in Ottawa

Unfortunately we cannot provide a positive review for one of my families favourite places to go for a smoothie. My daughter ordered a large smoothie and when she got back to the car to try it she noticed it did not taste right. I then tried it and it was clear someone put to much Basel in this normally delicious wild berry smoothie. It would have been too much even for an Italian pasta or meat stew. Over powering! Anyway my 14 daughter went back inside and explained the situation and requested an exchange for another beverage. The girl behind the counter told her "no that it was not possible and that she ordered it and that was that". This time I went into discuss the matter of an exchange calmly without trying to make the young woman wrong. I was met with the same bluntness and rudeness. To top it off this was in front if several other customers who could were also surprised. One customer commented to her "come on its just a juice exchange it for her". I asked to speak to the owner. She called Moe however he would not speak with me nor did he respond to my polite txt messages and VM. I could not believe it as this is a relatively new location for Booster juice and we have purchased throughout the winter at least 30 booster juices for my kids. I have been a loyal customer of Booster Juice for 12 years and my 3 children have followed my lead. Never in 12 years have we ever had an issue with a Booster Juice Smoothie until this experience. I recently visited the Booster Juice on Ogilvie and Blair Towers Place and unfortunately encountered some extensive difficulties with my order. I was waiting in line for quite some time 50 mins to be exact and was having trouble with my debit card when it came time to pay thé Tap feature wouldn’t work. I told The cashier, Coco, offered no help I instructed her that I would go out quickly to retrieve cash from my car. When I returned less than 2 mins , came back and payed in cash but before I payed I asked coco if she would still prioritize mine as I was in line first and she answered yes. she hadn’t started making anyones drink yet however to my surprise I noticed that Coco had started preparing orders for other customers who had joined the line after me, which was extremely confusing ? I asked for clarification and she explained that she was starting from the beginning of the line.

I was furious I did not appreciate Coco's lack of professionalism and un-friendly demeanor. I experienced frustration, embarrassment , humiliation during my visit, I was not able to enjoy my drink after my work out and the overall customer service was straight up horrible. I understand that things can get hectic at busy times and I appreciate the effort that Coco put in to assist me. It started with no lemons , 1/2 the menu has lemons, but I understand and order a berry juice , with some ginger , I get to my car, the ginger is so overpowering, it’s burning my throat, I loooove ginger, but this too much, I go back in, to request a new drink , since it’s not drinkable, as she tells me , she put in 3 x big chunks, enough for 3 drinks not one.. her error not mine. She says we can’t make a new one, as the phone call she made, was guided not to, how can you not make a new one, when you screwed it up?!

goes to add honey and juice to camouflage flavour , however , I don’t want sugar , the smoothie I requested had coconut water, so honey, juice and more ice , equals a very water down drink , filled with sugar , still potent ginger flavour , and to top it off , moving my straw around to mix the honey she started with before blending again .. no .. new straw new cup please .

11 $ out the door , a policy of not re making a drink they screwed up by putting too much ginger , I should not have to pay for someone’s clear mistake.
