Cozy's Express — Restaurant in Ottawa

Came in for a quick breakfast. Service was friendly, and much faster than I would have expected. Ordered 2 eggs over easy, potatoes with onions (I think the onions ended up being an extra charge but this wasn't mentioned when offered), whole wheat toast, and bacon.

A few of the potatoes weren't cooked all the way through, but that wasn't that big of a deal as it was only a couple, and the ones that were cooked properly were great. Bacon was cooked to my liking, eggs cooked perfectly over easy, and toast was what we expected.

I love seeking out diners like this, and Cozy's just happens to be across the street from my mechanic. So when I was getting my oil change, I decided to walk across the street to have some breakfast and check it out. The coffee is as expected - diner coffee. The food is served quickly, made fresh, and the service is given with a smile. It's hard not to like a place like this. I only wish that the hamburger patty that was served with my food didn't come from a frozen packet. It would have been nice to have it freshly made but I'm nit picking now. Next time I'll get...

Another treat for mom after a hospital visit but this time in Ottawa. This time mom wanted breakfast for dinner. This greasy spoon diner hit all the marks. The waitress/cook/bartender made us feel welcome. This is definitely a place where regular blue collar workers stop for a drink before going home, but don't let that stop you.
