Unappreciated and won't be back.
A regular takeout customer but decided to eat in with 6 family members. Wait staff were courteous as always. We were seated and orders taken promptly. Food arrived shortly after and tasted good. Towards the end of our meal my son noticed a large eggshell in his pad Thai. A gross but honest mistake, he pushed it aside and continued eating.
Once finished, I got up to pay my bill, left a generous tip and during my interac payment mentioned to the server that there was an eggshell in my son's pad Thai. I purposely paid first because I didn't want to seem like I wanted anything in return. The waiter apologized politely and offered another plate. I didn't need it but appreciated the offer and accepted. Shortly after I could hear the wait staff arguing back and forth with what appeared to be the owner about the eggshell. Another waiter approached our table and asked if there was a problem with the food. I pointed to my son's plate and mentioned there's an eggshell in his food. He apologized and said, I can give you a spring roll. Clearly the owner wasn't approving of the replacement pad Thai that was originally offered by the other waiter and sent this one to negotiate a better deal đ. I politely declined and advised we won't be back. And we won't.
To the owner of DI NOODLE, you lost a regular customer who spends at least $150+ per month take out order at your establishment over a plate that presumably costs you $5 to make, over a mistake that happened in your kitchen. You may not need me as a customer, but I certainly won't be spending my hard earned money in your establishment again and will ensure my social network also takes their business elsewhere. Anywhere else would have comp'd the meal but I thought it was smart of your staff to offer remaking the plate vs refunding as it costs you less to make the meal than to refund me $20.
To the wait staff, my sincere apologies. You were both very polite and I appreciate your hospitality and arguing with your boss on my behalf which is why I tipped you well. I wish you well and success. This review is not a reflection of...
Read moreMy spouse and I had ordered from this restaurant before. While we found the spring rolls to be mediocre, we thought the pho was pretty good. Last night, we ordered just two large phos and specified we wanted both meat (beef flank) and veggies. When we started eating, we realized we had only 3-4 pieces of meat in my soup; my partner had only ONE (yes, ONE) measly piece in an entire LARGE pho soup. I called the restaurant to let them know they had screwed up our order. The response was âmaybe the kitchen misunderstood the order and thought it was vegetarianâ. First of all, if they thought it was vegetarian and added ANY meat, thatâs a problem in itself. But basically, overall they seemed completely unbothered that a customer paid nearly $40 for whatâs basically two large hot water baths with a sprinkling of noodles and veggies. We could have made that meal at home with $3 worth of ingredients and saved ourselves the drive. When we asked if they could make us new soups, we were offered 15% off the next 2 soups. No thanks, I donât feel like paying $35 for hot water and some sprouts again⌠not in this economy especially. It was the worse food and worse service in as long as we can remember. Needless to say, we ...
Read moreThis place does not understand customer service. Every time we have ordered (we have tried online, regular call in, and ordering ahead for a specific time) we have been told to come back 15-30 minutes past what they have told us. We ordered 90 minutes early to ensure our food would be ready and was told it would be "no problem". On top, they always take payment THEN tell us the bad news!!! When mentioned to the restaurant they should really try to make up for this by doing something for the customer (i.e. small discount, throw in an extra dish) as a show of good faith and care for their customers, we were told "sometimes we do this" ...but I guess not for us?!!! Plus we had a decent size order. We only came here for the convenience, but if we have to wait in our cars, be treated indifferently, and have subpar food (the quality and quantity has gone down in last few years), then we might as well go out of our way and get tastier food on time and be treated with respect. If you like to wait while delivery orders push ahead and take precedence for mediocre food--you found your place! We gave them far too many tries! Don't...
