Double Happiness BBQ Food — Restaurant in Ottawa

This is more a BBQ takeout counter and I went there closer to when they close last week and order half a pound of bbq pork for Mom. They pushed close to a pound on me and when I objected they said I can freeze it which is not great since you lose the texture. The pork was decent enough but not the best I ever had which is Mandarin Olgilvie for me in Ottawa. It ended up being more than I needed and some went to waste.

I think for their pushiness on addition sale make me disinclined to go back again in view there are other vendors for BBQ pork...

I got the Triple BBQ items on Rice. The 3 items seem to be pre-set, as I was not given the option to choose from. I was given BBQ duck, BBQ pork, and Roast pork for $15.99 + tax ~$18, which is very reasonable given expensive Ottawa pricing.

Now, the food is some of the BEST Chinese BBQ I've had considering I have been to many, many restaurants Canada-wide; and this safely tops most of the joints I've been to in Vancouver, Toronto, London, and even Asia.

If you can get past the grotty floor, walls, exterior, tables, and chairs (not easy for most) you will find the best butcher in Chinatown with a fantastic offering of BBQ pork, duck and chicken. It greatly helps if you speak Chinese, but with my limited Mandarin and a lot of finger-pointing I get by just fine.
