Dumpling? Dumpling! - Centrepointe Dr. — Restaurant in Ottawa

Edited review: staff reached out to me and offered to remake my order below. Above and beyond what I expected. The dumplings were delicious, absolutely eat here.

My husband and I ordered for takeout , the dumplings were absolutely delicious- they'd get a 5 star rating for this alone! No complaints on flavour or presentation.

My husband and I each ordered a "two kinds of dumpling" which came with 15 total dumplings in each container. First order had pork/shrimp, & Chinese cabbage, Chinese mushroom and vermicilli. Second order was pork and Chinese chive, & celery and smoked bean curd. Neither container was labelled so it was impossible to know which had which combination in them. We also paid $1 upcharge for the pork/shrimp dumplings, and only received 5 total shrimp/pork - not even half the order. We only received 3 total pork and Chinese chive dumplings- also not even half the order. As well, either all the vegetarian dumplings have vermicilli or we received none with smoked bean curd (none of them tasted like a smoked bean curd, so I'm going with we didn't receive any of those that...

I recently visited here. We were told on the phone that they were busy and went in with an expectation that there going to be delays. We placed our order and it took some time but that was to be expected. I received my dumplings that tasted okay but upon eating them I found 3 hairs cooked into the dough. We had also ordered vegetable spring rolls that tasted pretty bad. The best way for me to describe it was that it tasted like what a barn smells like. My girlfriend inspected further and is certain there was meat in it. After I finished my meal, my girlfriend had yet to get her meal. When I went up to ask how long it would be I was told 15 more minutes. After patiently waiting for another 40 or so minutes I go back up to the counter to ask how long and I was replied with shock and the person said “I assumed you didn’t want it any more” needless to say I was rather not impressed and will not be returning to either Centrepointe or Bank st location. We spent a total of 2 hours in the restaurant and still had to get food from somewhere else. 0/5 would...

Tried this restaurant for the first time for our anniversary and they did not disappoint. We started by ordering an ice tea and two apps. The ice tea was delicious, the fruit was so fresh and worked really well with the spicy food that came next. The large Braised beef shank app was the perfect size for two to share, it fell apart in your mouth, and the dry spice that came with it paired perfectly (warning it is super spicy). We also ordered the pork wonton with the spicy peanut sauce. This was hands down one of the best things I’ve ever put in my mouth. Absolutely something I will continue to order when I visit this restaurant. We ended off our meal with some pan fried dumplings. I got the beef curry onion dumplings and my husband had the pork and shittake mushroom. We couldn’t even finish all of them.. but we boxed up our left overs and I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s lunch. We will be bringing our guests back here to try for sure in the future.
