Glen’s poutine is a classic in Kanata. Hits the spot when the cravings there. Unfortunately their customer service could use a revamp. I asked the lady “Hi how are you today?” Her reply to me? “It’s cash only”. I’m not asking for a 5 star restaurant service here but basic standard customer service would be nice. I can read your sign that states it’s cash only. I will second another reviewers comment that the service isn’t ideal for newcomers. (I grew up in Kanata and have been here a handful of times and still get this kind of service). It’s a bit overpriced for their portion sizes compared to other chip trucks in Kanata but still worth a visit if you’re looking for a poutine.

This was my first time here, my son actually insisted we came. I only had a hotdog, but man, it was amazing! Honestly, if you can get my son to brag about a place, it's GOTTA be good, he is the pickiest water I've ever met lol Anyways....staff was amazing. Food was amazing. And they do the condiments for you, so you're not touching them after 100 other people. I even saw a staff member take it upon herself to help an elderly lady with her cart full of flowers. Wonderful! Thanks to ALL the staff, we will definitely be back again!

Burger (3.1/5) - burger bun was the best part; the burger patty was of questionable quality and seemed like it had more fat/filler than meat.

Fries can be really good but inconsistent. One week you may get great fries and the next week they can be hard and dry mixed in. Service is fast and friendly. That comment by Harlow Nelligan disturbed me. That kind of service should not be tolerated. If it happens to you, complain to the Canadian Tire as they rent space to them on the lot. I am sure Canadian Tire wants any sellers on their lot to be respectful of customers. While I have experienced very friendly service, I haven't made any mistakes in picking up an order yet. I am all about customer service. Sometimes peoples 'real' personality only show up at moments like that described by Harlow Nelligan. First of all, this place is cash only--nothing to do with my rating, but it's a tiny spot on their sign so just know that.

The people were lovely, prices not bad, food was up quickly, and it wasn't bad, but they either use a weird oil or maybe it's something about the packaging (what's with all the Styrofoam, Ottawa?!), but there was an off-putting smell to the fries I couldn't get past. The bratwurst was ok, but I also ate it cold so, who know, maybe it was amazing hot.

To be fair, I grew up eating from chip wagons and have very fond memories, so it may be the nostalgia talking, but this one...
