Mucho Burrito Fresh Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Ottawa

I ordered a chicken burrito bowl through the drive thru for lunch today. I get back to work and literally there was like 3 little morsels of chicken AND THE CHICKEN WAS DARK MEAT Are you kidding me? I go to this place quite a bit and today I was extremely disappointed AND DISGUSTED . I barely got any vegetables the bowl had mostly rice. My food was also cold AND TASTED HORRIBLE . I will NOT be going back to this location ever again….

Update……, I made a HUGE mistake and decided to order online from this location once again. Wow I definitely shouldn’t have done that. Our food was supposed to be ready by 6:08. My husband went in to pick up our order that we already paid for. The staff kept taking walk in orders and ignoring our order. Some girl who works there kept telling my husband to sit down and that they will make our food soon. Are you kidding me???? My husband was furious and called me. I ended up calling the restaurant asking to speak to the manager but unfortunately the manager was not there. I got extremely upset with the girl on the phone and she said yes I know we will make your food soon. I told her this is horrible service and what is the point of ordering online. My husband didn’t get served until 6:35. Now we will DEFINITELY NOT go back to this location ever again. Hazeldean location or Bells Corner has way way...

This has become my go-to place for breakfast thanks to their outstanding breakfast bowl which is basically huevos rancheros without the superfluous corn tortilla. Instead you get a perfectly spiced pile of diced potato hash browns. I love the freshness, the generous sized portion of perfectly seasoned fresh guacamole and the ability to endlessly customize the whole thing around a fluffy serving of real scrambled eggs! No boxed mystery egg-ish slurry here! It's farm fresh eggs all the way made to order! They have some nice looking breakfast burritos on the menu that I plan to try eventually, but I am just loving their take on huevos rancheros so much that I can't resist ordering it whenever I'm there.

I've had their killer burritos and those are without a doubt the best burritos in Ottawa. Always LOTS of fresh cilantro and guacamole, not to mention that all their meats are marinaded perfectly then cooked right there over an open flame on their grill. Even people with vegetarian diets or food allergies can customize their meal to fit their needs. I watched the staff diligently helping out one lady do exactly that. Great food. Great service. What more can you ask for? Quality service and food...everytime. Skip the other lame burrito joints out there and head for the fresh flavours at Mucho Burrito Kanata....

I am not one to complain but I despise this location. I love the Burritos at Mucho, but the staff at this location just don't care, or are so poorly trained, it would seem they don't. We have tried to get food here on more than 8 different occasions and have been disappointed with more than one aspect every single time. The last time we stopped by the steak in the steam table was red. No, not pink. Red. We left. The staff rarely have more vegetables cooking when they are running out. The rice looks dried out. The portion sizes are out of whack and the lack of care when it comes to cross contamination of the fillings is maddening. We have discouraged our friends and family, and now you dear reader, from going to this location. We will be watching the reviews for this location to see if they get better but at this point it would take a massive effort to turn this den of inefficacy around. As an aside, the Baseline location is no better. The Trainyards and the Greenbank in Barrhaven locations, although far from the Kanata location, are the only ones worth the money and effort. We always tip the staff at the Trainyards location as they are always pleasant and take pride in the product they produce and the other locations could learn a great...
