Greek On Wheels — Restaurant in Ottawa

A regular customer of Greek on Wheels. Love supporting local businesses and always order from the website instead of apps. I was incredibly disappointed this time by how undercooked the meat was. I called the establishment and the clerk was unable do to anything to rectify the issue of undercooked meat. Everytime I made an order from Greek on Wheels in the past, it included meat. It was always cooked through and through as it should be. After knowing this and paying $65 plus a tip to the delivery person, nothing was done to fix this issue. The clerk was understanding and professional but the management refused to do anything besides offer a "free" salad the next order. A free salad is not an ideal solution for me as it already comes with the orders I usually make. This is upsetting as I took up the issue with the business as a first step instead of running to Google and writing a review without informing the business. As a result of this ordeal, I was not able to touch my food and have been feeling nauseous just at the thought of undercooked meat. I understand it has been difficult for local business these past couple of years but there must be an ideal way to satisfy and keep customers instead of not taking their complaints seriously. I don't think I will be ordering from this establishment...

Really great place, it seems like a lot of care goes into the business. We get the Thursday special— really tasty! Very good price for the quantity and quality of food. The salad has green peppers, cherry tomato, olives, feta, red onion, cucumber, and a pickled pepper. The lettuce is always crunchy. The chicken souvlaki portion is good and the meat has never been dry. They give lots of rice, which we like as students who want as much food to eat as possible. Everything is well seasoned and extra delicious when dipped in tzatziki. The delivery staff have been really kind, always starting with "hello, how are you?" and leaving with "have a great day." It never feels like they're rushing or trying to hustle to the next person, but the food still gets delivered super quickly (someone said interdimensionally fast, this is so true lol).

Make sure you order directly from their website instead of a delivery app, the prices will be lower (since they don't have to pay another company a commission), there are better specials, and their delivery team is really lovely. For...

I ordered a chicken souvlaki, Greek platter, and baklava for delivery last night around 7:30 pm. The restaurant estimated about 55 min for delivery. I thought that was a bit long than ideal, but on a Friday night, I accepted it. At 25 min, a delivery driver showed up with the souvlaki and baklava, but missing the Greek platter. I called to make them aware, and they were extremely apologetic. Ultimately, I decided just to eat what was sent because it was a decent amount of food, and I didn't want to hassle them with sending out a second delivery. The food was unbelievably mediocre. Not horrible, but really nothing special. Pretty bland, if you ask me. 5+ star service, but 1- star food quality. I appreciate the speed of delivery, and will totally overlook the mistake on my order, but because of the food I am not likely to order from this place again.
