Spacious and bright room. The pillows and bed were comfy. The room is well equipped with all the necessary appliances. Walkable distance to all the major attractions. Clean washrooms. Service is quick and the staff are helpful and friendly. Check in and check out process was very easy. I even got a 100$ off for staying more than 2 nights! Complimentary breakfast from 7 to 10 AM and was generous. The person at the breakfast counter always welcomed us with a big smile. The house keeping staff are efficient. Worth the money. A great place would recommend it greatly! This is my addendum to my last year's review: Here we are again this year at the same hotel. This place never fails to impress me!. I even got a 15% discount as I booked with the hotel directly. This time I got a corner room on the 9th floor with great city views. LOCATION- is just amazing, walkable to some attractions, transit friendly, stores are close by. BREAKFAST - The complimentary breakfast on the 3rd floor from 7AM to 10 AM has gotten even better with a great variety and different healthy options to choose from. They even offer pre-packed breakfast for customers to take away who are in a rush. The staff at the breakfast bar is always welcoming people with a smile on his face which really adds a positive vibe to the start of the day. The front desk staff are always cheerful, helpful and courteous. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. GO GREEN AND SAVE- There is an option to Go Green and save money. You can opt out of house keeping services(Fri/Sat/Sun) by informing ahead at the front desk and get a 10$ credit either as cash back or into your credit card. Towels and other necessities are available on carts in each floor to be picked up. There is a vacuum cleaner in the suite. THE SUITE has a kitchen, living area, washroom, a huge balcony. KITCHEN is equipped with a stove, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, cutlery, plates/cups/bowls , some basic pans and pots for cooking, a fridge and cleaning supplies. LIVING AREA has a cute dining table with 2 chairs, a workstation and swivel chair with a monitor/keyboard/mouse/printer, TV and a comfy huge Couch. BEDROOM- has a queen bed and a closet. The bed and pillows are comfy and soft. Super clean white and bleached. Extra pillows and comforters are in the closet. Inside the closet is an iron board, vacuum cleaner and an organizer. The entire length of the windows stretched the entire bedroom length with a great view. WASHROOM- is well stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body lotion , towels, hair dryer and a lit up make-up mirror. ' STAFF PLEASE ADD A TOOTHPASTE to the list. Since this building is an old one, it does not have Centralized heating /cooling but that has never been an issue. Both my trips were in mid winter and the suite has been warm and cozy. The 2nd floor has a GYM which is open 24/7! So, there is absolutely no room for excuse for not keeping yourself fit. The 4th floor has a FREE laundry open 24/7 with free detergent. We can make free local calls from the desk phone . Check-in is at 4 PM and Check out is at 11 AM. However, we could request for early check-ins. Parking is available for a fee. Free WiFi. House keeping staff are helpful and cheerful. The ambience is homely, quiet, safe and friendly. The walk score is a great plus as some places (Canadian Nature museum, the Corktown footbridge, City Hall ) are just walking distance from the hotel. There are eateries, convenient stores and pubs just across the hotel. Overall a great place to stay. Highly recommend this place if you are visiting Ottawa. Definitely worth the money. Stayed for 4 nights and looking forward to many more stays at this place. A big Kudos and Thank You for the team at The Business Inn and suites. See you soon again!!

I would give 10 stars if I could. I travel heaps and I have never ever come across any hotel that provides free laundry detergent and free laundry services. Also free breakfast packs for everyone to take away! You have your own computer and printer complete with paper as well. We had the most comfortable king size bed, enormous room with lounge, huge TV, huge kitchen and bathroom. Huge bath tub and great water pressure and shower. What a great hotel and the staff are wonderful. Huge shout out especially to front desk staff Peter Snyder who made our entire stay memorable. Please look after Peter appropriately as we have missed him due to his off days during our stay and we have noticed a big difference. It is the staff that makes the hotel and the experience too. But overall, this hotel has my approval and recommendation... And I don't recommend lightly ever! Only under 10 mins by Uber from the train station and right in the Centre of all the action. So many choices of eateries around and a short walk to parliament hill. Peter also gave us discount vouchers for attractions. The canal just behind the hotel is a lovely walk along to Byward markets which is also not far at all. My daughter and I had the best stay. Everyone here were so friendly. Thanks to The Business Inn and Suites and Ottawa.

This was our first visit to Ottawa, and unfortunately, our hotel experience didn’t start off well. We had difficulty finding the elevator to access the first floor, which was confusing and inconvenient. We had to use entrance from the rear side of the building, across the outdoor parking lot. That entrance area was quite dirty, and the room itself had a slightly unpleasant odor with a small flie inside, which made us uncomfortable. Thankfully, the receptionist was very understanding and helpful. They arranged for us to move to another room on the third floor. While this room was cleaner and more comfortable, there was still a noticeable smell upon entering. I had to use some of my own perfume spray to freshen up the space. While I appreciated the staff’s willingness to assist, the hotel would improve directions for guests and After leaving a review, I received a call in my room referencing the review, which felt inappropriate and made me uncomfortable. When I called back, I was told the manager was not available and was instead given an explanation that left me feeling unheard. I hope this feedback is taken seriously.

I recently visited Ottawa for business and needed a reasonably priced hotel for a few days. After some research, I decided on this hotel, thinking it looked decent and affordable.

On arrival, the setup was a bit unconventional—the front desk also seemed to double as an office for the staff. After check-in, I was directed to parking and told I could use a side door. While I initially felt uneasy about it, the cold weather convinced me to give it a try.

My first impression of the hotel’s interior was that it seemed a bit run-down, and some upgrades would improve the common areas like the hallway. However, when I entered my suite, my perspective completely changed.

The suite wasn’t just a room—it was almost as big as my condo in Toronto and had everything I could need to live there comfortably: pots, pans, plates, utensils, a humidifier, a fancy alarm clock, a full-sized fridge, a computer, a printer, and even a desk cover that doubled as a mouse pad (a lifesaver since I forgot mine).

The attention to detail was impressive, and the cleanliness made me feel completely at home. One small drawback was the lack of a rug on the tiled floor, which would have been especially nice during the cold winter months. And the blinds needs to be replaced, but as a business owner myself, these minor issues were insignificant overall, the room’s amenities and the cozy atmosphere more than made up for it.

The location was another highlight, with restaurants right across the road and a large gym with all the equipment I needed. I quickly grew to love the side door entrance—it felt more like coming home than returning to a hotel.

One standout feature was the full laundry room with complimentary detergent. Although I didn’t use it, knowing it was there added to the homey feel of the place.

What impressed me most was a sign in the room offering reimbursement for each day you opted not to have housekeeping during the weekend. This was the first time I’d seen a hotel share savings directly with guests. Usually, I request housekeeping because it’s part of the room charge, but this approach completely changed my perspective. It felt like the hotel genuinely valued its guests.

When it came time to leave, I felt like I was leaving home. I even inquired if there were other locations of The Business Inn, as I frequently travel to Quebec, but learned this is a family-owned, standalone property.

Despite some areas that could use upgrades, the overall experience was incredibly pleasant. This hotel was an unexpected gem, and I’ll absolutely be back. I’m already looking for another reason to...

This hotel was weird. I hated our room. We had room 124, so if you check in and they give you that room then I'd suggest immediately asking for a different one. Room 124 is the street level corner room which means it has two walls of windows which are directly on the busy street outside. Admittedly it has a film on the windows so you can see out but people can't see in (during the daytime). It also has blinds and curtains...but despite all this it felt closed in and exposed all at the same time. I asked if we could move rooms but was told that they were fully booked. I was told on check in that this room was an upgrade, which was a joke really because I think I would have preferred the room we paid for. The room itself was ok. A little weird to have a desktop computer that keeps turning itself on...who uses a desktop in this day and age. I get its a business hotel, but I imagine most people travel with a laptop these days. So I thought it was just a weird thing to have in the room. The bathroom was quite small but the products were nice. Having a little kitchenette would have been useful if we were staying for longer. The breakfast was interesting. Food was just ok, it was edible so thats good. The breakfast experience was a nightmare though. There were so many people trying to get breakfast that there were hardly anywhere to sit (our group of 6 had to sit at different tables), and it all just felt very chaotic. I personally don't like to start my day with barely organised chaos so it wasn't a pleasant experience. The hotel itself feels like a converted office building or something, which gives it a very odd vibe. I felt like I was in the basement on every floor. And good luck finding reception from your room...

The only good thing about this hotel is the location which was great for walking to the Parliament Hill and various other attractions. Also it was near to plenty of bars and...
