boogie + birdie — Local services in Ottawa

What a precious little store! A sister store of Mags & Fags, I knew I couldn't be disappointed. It's really homey, and crafty in here, and they have a lot of fantastic gift ideas-- particular for children. I especially love the selection of candles and jewelry here and regularly purchase them for friend's birthdays. The women that work here are all really love and approachable too.

The only downside to this little shop is that it is rather expensive. I don't mind too much though, because they support a lot of small local companies, and I really like to support this.

I would definitely recommend stopping in, and I will definitely be going back.

I think that the people that work there are incredibly nice, i find the store itself to be quite small, if not cramped.Some person brings in their boston terrier, @ Boogie and Birdie, I can't figure out if he/she is friendly enough or not? If you have a dog that jumps up a lot on people, then that is not a well trained dog! I saw him jump up and either bite or lick another person's nose. He might drive away the customers.I have a small dog myself, but I do not bring her to work. Cute store, a bit on the pricey...

Boogie+birdie is one of my favourite store in Ottawa. They always have great things and I’ve been coming here over and over again whenever I need to look for a gift (unique, Canada themed, beautiful posters with amazing materials,…lots and lots of things more!), I’m sure anyone can find themselves something here. The staffs are the sweetest all the time, they are very friendly, kind, helpful and they remember their customers! Definitely check out this store sometime because it will worth every minute...
