Harir Kabab House — Restaurant in Ottawa

UPDATE: Gave Harir Kabab another shot months later and service is still so delayed! Waited 30mins for an order I ordered 1.5 hours in advance from pick-up time....

Also, Customer Service was not very gracious when reaching out to me regarding my terrible experience with them prior. Definitely do not recommend.

The service here is very unprofessional.

I really enjoy the food, but that is not enough to disregard their poor service. I ordered online and the approximate wait time was 45 minutes. My order was not large, but I was fine with the 45 minutes. I came to the store an hour later and expected my food to be ready.

When I came there was no one at the desk so I could not ask for my order. A few minutes later, someone came to the front but seemed confused at the fact that I ordered. He said my food is ready and went back to the kitchen; I assumed to bring my food out. A few minutes passed and no one returned. After 20 minutes, I walked over to the kitchen to try and speak with the cook, but he was cooking food and seemed like he was stalling (I guess because he was cooking my food?).

Finally, after another 5 or 10 minutes, a man comes out with my food. As I was paying, the man tells me that sometimes their online orders do not come through. My issue is that if he is aware of the error, why do they still accept online orders? why not remove the feature and strictly take call or in-person orders? I am very understanding, but this experience was beyond awful and I cannot excuse it.

Good food but will not be returning or...

Ordered over the phone, order was wrong and we had to drive back. Didnt offer to replace the entire order as by the time we will have the missing items the food will be cold and on top of that they asked for an extra $15 because whoever to took the order made a mistake.

Update: I think you must review the order before you make this statement, it obviously showing that you have no idea about what are you talking about.

I would never place an order for $6 and expect $ 40 , actually this is an insult and it proves very well the way you treats the customers and their orders.

For your information,

I ordered 1 family plater, 2 Shami platers, and 1 salad. The charge was $130 , we got the salad and 4 skewers of meat only so the order was wrong and as a normal practice that every restaurant would do is to ask for the food to be return and provide the right order fresh and hot as it is not our fault to eat a cold food. You guys asked for us to come back and take the missing items and pay 15$ extra. No discount was offered so I dont know what are you talking about.

In regards of supporting the community I think you know very well that I supported your business since day one and you always disappointed me by doing the same mistake of providing wrong order and missing on the rest...
