Hong Kong Chinese Food Takeout — Restaurant in Ottawa

Worst experience ever. We ordered for take out a combo & side order of crispy beef. We called as our order was not as we expected, they did not put the sauce on the beef nor was it extra crispy as asked. When we mentioned this on the phone they claimed all places put the sauce on the side(not the case I order crispy beef a lot from other restaurants) Also when we mentioned that no where on the menu does it say that the general tao's chicken contains bell peppers, they said that was how it was always made & did not offer anything when we stated there's a pepper allergy in the household. I understand things cannot always be perfect but we called as a complaint & they did not offer a single thing. I will not ever order from this...

edit Dec7th,2012: Used to think this place was great (see below) but service has taken a sharp nosedive. Ordered our usual twice in a row it has come to us not tasting like it used to - and also instead of sending the sauce for the lemon chicken like they usually do, they sent a cup full of cooking oil. When we called to let them know they were sending out the wrong sauce they said "it's supposed to be like that - we mix it with oil. Come back and get a new one". We wont be ordering again.

Old review: These guys are great. we dine at least 2 times a month, and look forward to it every time! Quick delivery to the base. The only down side is, if paying my credit, you need to give it over the phone. they dont have a machine...

Stop!! Don't bother unless you enjoy being let down. I realize these are different times but come on?!? If you're going to sell food, maybe care just a little bit. I ordered takeout but i didn't realize this meant putting the meal together at home... why not just send me the raw ingredients and I'LL cook it! Was given the most random General Tso's i've seen which mainly consisted of raw chunks of onion and peppers. The Crispy beef was neither crispy nor fresh, and had to toss it together in the sauce they put on the side. Throw in the small servings and an overall indifference on their part when i called to ask about what i had been given and you have a prime example of what it means to be...
