Wok Hey ! Chinese Food — Restaurant in Ottawa

It was my daughter's 1st birthday event and I had discussed with the owner Alex how much food would be reasonable to order for a party of 90-100 people. He walked me through the entire process and asked me what kind of food we would like and how many kids and adults there would be at the event. Then he helped me create a menu of 12 different dishes. On the day of the event, he even offered to deliver the food to the venue knowing that it was a stressful morning for us. One thing I do want to mention is that the restaurant opens at 12PM, but my event started at 11AM and Alex was so accommodating and opened early to cook and deliver the food to me, we really appreciated that he was so understanding! The food came piping hot, he even made sure to cook it as close to the event start time as possible. Every single dish tasted amazing and so fresh and all my guests loved it too, they were all asking me where we got the food from! The salt and pepper dishes were gone in minutes. Alex is a wonderful owner, very nice and gives extraordinary service to his customers. The price was amazing for all the food we ordered and he was spot-on in calculating the amount of food to order for all my guests. Omg I ordered today for the first time after this option came up on Uber Eats, since most of the reviews were overwhelmingly positive and the 1-2 bad ones seemed like exceptions rather than the norm, and boy was it the best decision! I thoroughly enjoyed my Saturday lunch and have enough left for one more full meal, and maybe some more. I ordered the Broiled Free Run Chicken with Onion Oil and the Straw Mushroom with Chinese Greens. I loved both! Subtle yet well seasoned exactly how I expect good Cantonese food to be! The chicken was made so well, and I the ginger scallion oil given on the side was a beauty, it's so fragrant and tasty I want it on everything I eat ! The Chinese greens with mushrooms were great too, good amount of mushrooms in there unlike a lot of other places who skimp on that. Overall I'm in love with today's food - so much that I ran to come and put a review today because it absolutely made my day. Will 100% order again. Note to the restaurant: If you can make unusual combos as an option where one can add 2-3 things of their choice but obviously in limited amounts - that will be much more economical for single people ordering in instead of ordering entire plates! Not the best best in the city but great for the price and great tofu dish selections. This is a great place for vegetarians and I love that you can chose your heat level for most dishes. Also great that you only need to spend $15 minimum for free delivery.

But what really put this place over the top is the AMAZING customer service which is incomparable to other Chinese food places. I started ordering through skip the dishes and and the app totally failed me to the point where I was in tears. I gave up on skip the dishes customer service and called the restaurant. Even though the issue was with the app and the restaurant had no fault, the manager repeated my order and had the food delivered as quickly as possible. Let me repeat, the fault was on th app, and the restaurant still corrected the issue. Even another time, we were not satisfied with a dish and they compensated us, with very little questions asked.

I refuse to order from anywhere else in my area because of this. They treat repeat customers well because they actually have your info saved so when you call in, you don't need to give your details over and over again.
