I don’t usually write reviews, but my experience with Lucky Fortune was so atrocious that I feel obligated to warn others. I ordered two dishes—Crispy Beef and General Tao Chicken—and it ended up costing me a ridiculous $50. Yes, you read that right. $50 for two items! Can you believe the extortion? I thought maybe, just maybe, the food would justify the outrageous price. Spoiler alert: It didn’t.
When the food was delivered, I was immediately frustrated because my order was wrong. Instead of the dishes I paid for, they sent pork. I don’t eat pork, I can’t eat pork, and I made this clear when placing the order. Receiving the wrong item is one thing, but when it’s something I cannot eat, that’s a completely unacceptable mistake. To make matters worse, trying to contact them to fix their error was useless—they didn’t bother to answer the phone. No customer service, no accountability. Just silence.
But it doesn’t stop there. The food I was able to eat? Let me tell you, it was absolutely disgusting. The Crispy Beef was a soggy, greasy mess with no flavor except oil, and the General Tao Chicken tasted like it had been reheated from days ago. It was completely inedible. The food quality was so bad that I wouldn’t even feed it to my dog. I wish I was exaggerating, but I’m not.
The final straw? Both my brother and I ended up with food poisoning. We were sick for over a week—nausea, stomach cramps, the works. It was a nightmare. No one should have to deal with this level of negligence when ordering food. It’s supposed to be a convenience, not something that...
Read moreLike usual fast and delicious meal.
I ordered chicken fried rice and it was very yummy with plenty of chicken cubes in it.
Sweet and sour chicken has descent size white chicken piece with just the right size of batter to that is is cooked to perfection.
I asked for egg roll to be replaced by with spring roll since I do wanted vegetarian filling, that was done with a CC smile.
I ordered also along guy doing... Without almond and without cauliflower.... That was done right, I enjoyed my guy doing very very much.
I usually order breaded jumbo shrimp, which is an amazing item, despite the high price. But it is worth every penny.
They accommodated my requests and with a smile. What I like about this place is they make every plate for you. No premade stuff that. Is sold to everyone.
Today I did my own pick up. They deliver too at reasonable charge. Order direct by phone and save.
I don't recommend using Uber... Uber hurt Restaurants and dig deeper into your pocket. Uber charge restsurant 30% of menu price, and they charge you 3.99 then service charge on top of that....and still Uber complains they are losing money!!!! Pick up your own order or find out if restsurant has their own delivery. Skip and doordash cost you less as...
Read moreMy family and I had a delicious take out meal on our back patio last month; ordered some crispy beef, general tao, chicken balls, vegetable chop suey, sautéed mixed vegetable, bbq pork fried rice & for the first time we tried their honey garlic chicken wings & flat noodles with beef. Everything was hot, and delicious, large generous quantities. Kids approved and even had 2nds, 3rds for the 8yr old (wings, fried rice, chicken balls, mixed veggies & honey garlic sauce got 2X double thumbs up). This is our go to Chinese place here in Orleans.
(4.5 stars) The only two things I noticed this time around was when I first opened the flat noodles container it smelt like it was burnt, but luckily as I tried it, there was no burnt flavour. And the honey garlic chicken wings were delicious but swimming in the sauce so the crispy layer was soggy, but the chicken was flavorful. (DISCLOSURE: it’s not a normal thick sauce it’s the delicious wet honey garlic sauce for their ribs dish); we used it all over our rice, kids LOVED it! I think I might ask for the sauce on the side next time to keep the wings crispier, since I normally just order their crispy wings every...
