Yalla Yalla Bakery & Lebanese Foods — Restaurant in Ottawa

I'm always looking at supporting local, so when I was in the area for my daughter's soccer game we popped by for dinner to give this shawarma place a try. We have had many shawarmas in the past to a point where I should be starting a vblog. I had high hopes for this place but I was very disappointed. I ordered a mix platter (chicken and beef with rice, salad and patatios) and it was by far one do the worse shawarma plate I have ever had.

Both the chicken and beef was very dry, rice had no flavor and was cold. Patatios were hard and the fattoush salad was ok. The best part was the garlic sauce, I will give them that. The quality was not there at all let alone the quantity which I assume was the owner was extremely cheap on the meat portion. Maybe that wasn't a bad thing since we tossed more than half in the garbage as it was truly that bad. The price point, for $30, it's more on the higher end and unfortunately it was a complete waste and not even worth $10. I don't mind paying and I get merchandise/supplies has gone up in price but at least put some care in the quality.

Called and ordered a family sandwich platter to make sandwiches at home with the family, it was all bagged up when I arrived to pick it up, I asked them if everything was in there, when I got home I found there was no pita bread to make the sandwiches. It such a small part of the meal but this small part of the meal is the largest component of the meals without this you cannot make a sandwich lol. Anyways when I called and spoke with the owner ray, he wanted me to come drive 20 minutes to come pickup the pita bread or get the pita bread next time , he was very unsympathetic like this was not a big deal that we now cannot make our sandwiches, these solutions did not help us at. I said our meal is ruined without the bread and he said so you're going to throw the rest out now ??? Lol... well thanks alot ray, I can tell you I've been ordering this platter every 2-3 weeks and this week will be my last because of the poor customer service. I would have been happy with a 10% off a future order which would have been 5$. Also onto of this and I didnt even mention it on the phone because he was being so unpleasant, the chicken and beef was so dried out you could almost not...

Delicious and fresh.

I love the garlic sauce and tabouleh. The family run business makes affordable and flavourful food.

The cheese bread, freshly warmed is also fantastic.

There is plenty of salads, sandwiches, platters and meals.

The selection of drinks is quite varied and can accommodate most taste.

The setting area is smallish (3 tables of 4 and a counter with 3 stools).

It is clean and smells fresh.
