Moxies Kanata Restaurant — Restaurant in Ottawa

I will NEVER be returning. We made an online reservation for 4:45PM. We were attending a concert later on in the evening and decided to dine at Moxie's for drinks, appetizers and our main course. After having eaten our appetizer and 1 drink, we were notified around 5:30PM that our table was reserved to someone else at 5:45PM. The Manager who notified us offered no apology, no explanation, and just stated that the hostess relayed this information with us, which she did not. This information was not written within our reservation.

This establishment gave my boyfriend and I a TIMED reservation to eat our dinner. We left before others who were there before us. It was extremely embarrassing and not to mention poor service. We hadn't even ordered our main course yet. We gave up the table, as we had no other choice. No other table was offered to us for the inconvenience. All of the other restaurants in the area were booked solid and had over an hour wait period. Instead, we had to settle for Subway.

This situation put a massive damper on our night and we couldn't believe that a restaurant "kicked" out paying customers due to another reservation that conflicted with our table. Why is this our fault that your establishment didn't reserve tables properly? Why should WE be inconvenienced when we are already there, sitting, and eating?

The impression I received from this establishment was that they were willing to gain as much money as possible due to the concert and didn't care about anything else. Losing 1 customer meant nothing to them.

Our bill would have been quite large and it's a shame that you missed out on our business. It was embarrassing and frustrating to those who witnessed this around us. What should have been a great night out, turned out to be awful thanks to Moxie's. Be weary if reserving here in the future, they may come up and tell you that you'll have to leave within the next 30 minutes. Never in my life have I had this situation...

Literally the worst experience I have ever had with a restaurant. I ordered a 100$ bottle of grey goose with a DIY nacho kit via Uber Eats. When the order finally got delivered, there was no bottle of Grey Goose.

So being unsure of who to contact , I immediately put in a request for help with the Uber eats app. Then I proceeded to call the restaurant. The call was answered right away by a women who put me on hold for about 5 minutes. She came back stating her manager would be on the line soon. Excellent no problems. About 25 minutes later ,

the manager answers the phone call with “I hear there is an order with your order ?” Myself- pardon me ? Manger- uhhh I hear there is a delivery with your order ? Myself- ..? Manger- I mean I hear there is a problem with your delivery?

She messed up what she was trying to say several times , didn’t care AT ALL about my issue. Had literally no idea what I was talking about. I understand if I would have ordered something at dinner time but this was very late - not busy at all. Yet it took this manger almost 30 minutes to make their way to the phone, act extremely unprofessional & rude , just to give me a phoney apology & I must talk to the app about my issue.
