If there was a "0 *" option, I'd gave it! I'm a mother of 2 (ages 4 & 7) and a big supporter for natural products, I've been going to Nutrition House for years. I believe that Natural food store (eg. Nutition House) stands for something good, therefore what happened to us last Tues Jan 31 (around 5PM) still left me feeling disappointed, humiliated and bad!
Before Christmas, I bought 6 Mountain Gold Himalayan Salt lamps from the Nutition House at Carlingwood (3 for us & 3 I sent away as gift for family). I bought them without reading review on them (as we usually do on any big purchase) because the lady at the Nutition House recommended them & I believe in her (because she's a representative of the store that I believe in and she looks like a calm, nice lady). We started using 2 of them right away in our daughter's room. However after a few weeks, we noticed that the dimmer switch of one of the lamp got extremely hot that it melted a plastic candle besides it so we unplugged it. Besides, it was brought to my attention that there have been recalls on some other Himalayan salt lamp products because of fire hazard so we got concerned so we decided to bring back the one with the issue & the one in the unopened box back.
Last Tues. I brought my 4 years old daughter to the Nutition House to return the lamps. My daughter was very excited to go shopping with Mommy and we were going to have a great time. However, when I told the lady (whom later I found out was the owner), the same lady who recommended the lamps to me a few months ago, that I'd like to return the lamp because of the issue mentioned above and also because I heard of the recall & feel unsafe to use them. Her attitude change completely! She told me that they're not taking any return and the return policy is 2 weeks. I tried to explain to her but it seemed to me that she was not interested in listening to my reason. She turned to another employee and a customer and said "she's just trying to take advantage of the recall!". I tried harder to tell her that "No, mam, please listen, there is problem with your product, we're worried about our child's safety!" She still was not interested in listening to me. She told me that if you hire an electrician and prove that there is something wrong with the lamp then you can hire a lawyer to sue me! The store owner also threaten to call the mall security on me if I don't leave! I felt very humiliated! This never happened to me before! Worse of all, my daughter witnessed all of this! When I told my friends & my daughter's teachers, they were all shocked!
I walked to the car, dropped of the boxes, gave myself time to calm down & think. I felt that I was treated unfairly so I came back to the store and said to the store owner calmly: excuse me, Mam! I'd like to apologize if I upset you, but I'd like to tell you that you've treated me unfair! I bought them because I trusted you, I believe in what your store stands for. To this she replied: We're only retailer, we're not responsible for the products we sell. You should call the manufacture!
I found it so unbelievable!! how can someone NOT be RESPONSIBLE for the products they sell? Shouldn't they stand behind their words, behind what they advertised was good????? It's been a week and I still very upset so I needed to get it...
Read moreThe worst customer service, I've ever experienced. Bought lollipops that melted in the package. Opened 1 that completely shattered when I attempted to take it out it's package. Returned to the store, explained what had happened. As I'm telling the lady, is opening 1 after the other and placing them directly on the counter, Im guess in an attempt to prove they all wouldn't shatter. Then she proceed to tell me she just thought about it and they don't even refund food items so there's nothing she can do. I proceed to tell her she's opened several with her bare hands and layed them on the dirty counter without my consent, there was no way I was taking those back. It was either a refund or a new package. That's when she stuffed them all back in the package and tossed the package on the floor and told me I was driving her crazy. Read moreExtremely poor service. We were checking out essential oils when the older lady accused us of opening a bottle even though we didn't. She proceeds to open the same bottle in front of us claiming we had opened it. Luckily we were planning on buying that one and placed it aside. Never seen a worker be this dishonest and unethical. Afterwards, we say "thank you" and gives us this rude look as if we had stolen something. Totally ruined our experience and am never coming back to this store. Highly recommend others to...
